I’m a big Newton fan. Think he’s going to be a 5 star by the time it’s all said and done.

The crimson uniforms look so damn good.

I’m not sure I was prepared for the crimson turtleneck/suit coat combo.

I thought our front court was good. Sheesh. Dickinson and Diabate are on another level or two above TJD and Race.

Our starters continue to put us in holes/give up leads…. It’s absolutely cost us games. Im willing to die on this hill.

This team looks hungover

I feel great! I was at the game. I didn’t think we had a shot at all but we outplayed them and out coached them. I’ll always be happy to feast on crow when I’m wrong about my sun optimal Hoosier projections.

I noticed they switched Ivey onto Rob, in the 2nd half, as soon as he checked in. I’m sure that had something to do with it.

Yes he is. He has nba all star potential. Hoping the Pacers can draft him.

Our starting lineup is rough. I understand we need bench production but I’d like to see Rob replace Parker in the starting lineup and see Galloway replace Kopp.

The stat line rarely shows it but Galloway is this teams engine. His energy forces his teammates to elevate theirs.

Time will tell but last night is the kind of moment that can really propel this team forward. They needed to learn how to win these games. Woodson is Really exceeding my expectations. I get really frustrated with the teams play, at times, but a couple things stand out. He is getting the absolute most out this roster. Obviously there’s room for growth and improvement but I’m not sure many coaches get what he’s getting out of this team. We are in every single game. Our defense is a sight to behold. It will give us a chance against any team at any given time. All of this while we have some serious deficiencies on offense. Wait until this guy gets some dudes on campus (and he’s going to get them). I’ve been extremely critical of Rob Phinisee but last night he had one of my all time favorite Hoosier performances. I’m happy for him and I hope it gives him the confidence he needs to reach his potential. If it does, our team’s trajectory changes exponentially. This program isn’t as far away from contention as I thought. Beat Michigan and let’s build on this momentum!

Best game I’ve ever been to, in any sport. I’m wiped. The Hall was special tonight.

I don’t see many advantages for us out there. Afraid this is going to be a thrashing.

Is there any reason to believe he’ll back out? I haven’t heard that at all.

Watched Leo vs Snider tonight. Leo pulled away in the 4th but was a close game most of the way. Leo should contend for a 3A title.

That foul call in the Northwestern Wisky game was really bad. Terrible.

What other options did he have? Xavier Johnson was considered the top available pg in the portal and he landed him. This entire roster is compiled of kids that he didn’t recruit. You can make the argument for Tamar Bates but even so, he had such little time to recruit him. We were lucky to get him at the time. Meanwhile he was immediately charged with keeping the program from complete nuclear meltdown. Dang near every player of significance, in the program, was in the portal. I’m as frustrated as anyone else but he had no shot of making this roster elite in the timeframe and situation he was given. I’m going to do my absolute best to try and judge him on how he finishes this season and goes into the next. Can he go get critical pieces in the portal this off-season? I believe Jalen Hood-Schifino is going to shore up the PG position but we need to find a suitable replacement for TJD. We need guard play desperately. XJ and Rob aren’t going to cut it. I don’t see much of a higher ceiling with those two leading our offense.

Boggles my mind how our program hasn’t been able to even get respectable guard play since Tom Crean. I thought things would improve when we brought TB and XJ in but TB is a dud at this point and XJ is the pg version of Troy Williams. This roster is constructed so poorly (not this staffs fault) and needs complete retooling, if we are to expect any satisfactory results in the next 2 years. Woody is definitely an upgrade to his predecessors, imho. I think he’s getting the absolute best out of what he has but this feels like we need to tear it to the ground and rebuild from the ground up. That’s both frustrating and demoralizing, considering how long and often we’ve been wallowing in mediocrity.
