Anyone else get tired of how when a team scores on us with three seconds in the first half Crean is more concerned with calling a TO and setting up some poor play for us to shoot? Last night was the most recent but it is almost like he watched Belichick let a team score late once and thinks it is cool to do. Not the first time I have noticed this either. Seems as if he is on the sidelines ready to call TO instead of being all in on making sure the D stops the other team.

See it is a pattern here while at those schools it is often either the exception or the motivator to change things. I agree with this but it does not fit what I would call a major sleeper.

So what level of contribution do you expect of him at IU this year. Calling him a major sleeper suggest to me he should be able to do much more for us next year than Holt did. Perhaps close to Rojos contribution. I think he can be pretty good and expect him to give us what Holt did but not sure yet what major sleeper really means for productivity on the court.

What are you basing your optimism on?

I agree. I do like how he has been back to IU a few times but it seems his visits are to IU and not to the Bball program. We have a video of Vic practicing this week at IU and a picture of Noah at a wing place. Does Noah go back to visit the coaches?

Well get ready for the circular arguments. First it will be those rankings don't really mean much. Then it will be that Crean is a great evaluator of talent. Then it might be something about being a great developer of talent. Then maybe, he had some guys that were bad for the chemistry and now that they transferred and the recruits we have coming will lead to a great, great year next year. All those things may be true but you hit on the essence of the problem. Crean is not performing at the same level as his peers.
