Anyone remember Wilson's self timeline he had. It had a catchy phrase like lose big, lose close, win close then win big. Think that was basically it and thought it was tied to four or five years.

Did the crowd feel pretty big? Looked kind of sparse on TV.

Ok. Now your talking, though we have it the other way around. I make sure to sample everything

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
8bucks replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think those gaps are what separate the top teams from the top 25 ish where we can get to. Cheaney, Graham and crew were more experience than our top kids but if they can compete well this year and win a game in the NCAA then the following year we might be able to make a bigger leap. I am not a rainbow guy but I think we really should be one of those teams on the cusp of breaking through this year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
8bucks replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
No it works. We got to the FF without a big and even survived Shaquille going like 10-10 from free throws. If the rest of our team is as good as advertised we can still be good. Not FF good but top 25 good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
8bucks replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Remember Matt Nover? He was 6'8" and played center for IU. He even had to guard Shaquille in the tourney (we won). Nover was not a prototypical center and was not really much better than Hanner except he could stay away from fouls. It helped that he had Henderson at PF but as a center Nover helped get us to a FF. We can be good without a stud Center if our shooters and scorers can score. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Wilson on the hot seat according to an idiot

Wonder if the thread title should be changed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Well I meant national TV not regional or local. I am not sure he gets there but I can see how it is possible Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Let's say Troy averages 14 and 6. Probably not obvious NBA numbers but say he has three or four big games late in the season, maybe in the tourney, where he scores something in the high twenties. If those big late games are on TV then I think his draft stock jumps way up. Seems a plausible scenario. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

It's Indiana. 6:23 is code. Keith Smart #23 took the game winning shot in out last championship at :06 seconds. He is saying he is coming to IU to bring a championship. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

He posted on the 247 site about 3 hours ago. Some of the posters there poked fun at him because he had made his selection the same day as JM so it is possible he is just following. I just think he would share some of the optimism we have being an Indiana insider but apparently not. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Alex McCarthy said... (original post) Morgan told me he's announcing Wednesday, likely between Vanderbilt and IU, but I still expect it to be Vanderbilt, as we've put on the Crystal Ball. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I wonder if, assuming he does not know anything for certain, that this might stem from that. Sort of similar, we led for Morgan and have recruited him a long time. Hopefully we can close it out. I am a little more concerned that the Inside Indiana insider also CBd for Vandy and reiterated those thoughts tonight Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Didn't JM kinda go against us when we started missing on guys like Pinson and Goodluck? I kinda remember him commenting about something going on at Indiana. We had led for several guys then lost in the end and he commented on it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yeah. That is not the end all but a little concerned we have had no picks go our way this weekend Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I don't think this is true. I doubt most guys that have been critical of Crean are very good with signing Morgan. Morgan was a guy we targeted early, is a four star and is listed as a PF. If he comes in and is slow to develop initially like HP was then yeah people may get impatient but that has more to do with our desire to win. Crean needs both immediate contributors and guys than can develop over time. If Morgan is a develop over time guy that is fine but being a 4* kid you would assume he should be further ahead and can contribute in year 1. I would have more of a problem if we lose yet another guy we have targeted and prioritized. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Is PT really something another program can offer that we cannot? We have a need for guys who can compete down low. The way Crean substitutes you know he will get time. I do not understand how PT could be a realistic factor for us. Now had it been two years ago I would see it but we had no postseason play last year. We are considered by many to be a mid to lower team in the BT this year. We have not added any high end bigs yet. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Teri Moren Named IUWBB Head Coach
8bucks replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Well if true this should help @JPPrice: Just spoke w/ IU AD Fred Glass, who says Teri Moren's contract includes provision for $10 million dollar buyout to leave for Purdue. #iuwbb Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Wonder if this is just the way another culture treats official. CWat had something very similar last year with the team he ended up playing with. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Keep me in your prayers. Started feeling off a fee weeks now and probably should have gone straight to bed after church but it was one of the boys birthdays so he wanted to go out to eat. I barely made it to the table while fighting the urge to pass out. Tried to force in some food but no good it kept getting worse. I was shaking my head trying to stay awake when mid order I had to bolt for the ER. Fortunately we had some of the older kids there who could drive so we left the kids with them. No apparent heart attack no app etc bit some minor enzyme increase. Staying overnight. Potasium was low too. Seeing heart guy tomorrow morning. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2014) LB Nile Sykes to IU
8bucks replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Wanted to see his rankings and looked hoping he was a 4 star guy since he was at ND. At first I was disappointed he was a 3* kid but I did find a few articles that spoke of his value. A few notes. Was mentioned to be the top linebacker in a strong linebacker class. Had a very big senior year that suggest he is closer to a 4*. Also saw where he played on the line instead of as a linebacker which impacted his ranking. As a linebacker alone he was highly regarded despite being a 3*. Funny how being a 3* at Indiana is becoming expected, at least to me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
This thread has officially gone off the rails with these past few posts. Let's keep in mind the conclusion you guys made tonight is that Crean is a lame duck coach because of some Facebook posts made by AJ Guyton after he found out he will be inducted into IU Hall of Fame while Crean is coach. It truly is amazing the way some people construe things to push forward their opinion. People do realize Calbert took a different and better job at SLU than was available at IU right? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Calbert was offered the asst job here at IU though right? Thought I recall Crean saying Cal decided against it because he did not think he was ready or something. Then the next year he takes a job the same job he turned down here. Yeah he knows Crews but he knows IU and this area better and moving a family to a new area is not as easy as staying. I have no idea if there are issues but it is not hard to make assumptions about why Cal chose not to be an asst here but shortly after he chose to be an asst elsewhere.
