I believe it's a combination of projected finish, marquee matchups, and home/away rotation. I thought the commissioners got together with inputs from athletic directors input to create the schedule?

Congrats Buss and coach Moren!!! -
As long as we don't go crazy with our cupcakes this is a really solid schedule. - Neutral court games against good to great competition - In state opponent away from Assembly Hall (give fans who can't make it to AH a chance to see the Hoosiers) - Possible true road game in Gavitt Tipoff against good competition (East Coast would be good for Hoosiers on the right coast) - Marquee ACC opponent for season ticket holders/students That's three games against power 5 opponents, two against the Big East, and two instate teams.

^^ To add to that here is a list of some of the OOC games next season. I didn't realize we had several solid to great games lined up. KU - here on Pearl Harbor UL - Banker's Life Fieldhouse B1G/ACC - at home Butler - Crossroads Classic, BLF Gavitt TIpoff - road game (?) IPFW - Ft. Wayne Memorial Coliseum Inside The Hall Edit: That actually looks like a really, really solid OOC schedule depending on what ACC opponent we get at home and what opponent and where we play the Gavitt Tipoff game. That's the OOC schedule I've wanted for awhile if we cut the 250+ games to 100-200 range.

I don't think we make it to the 1 seed line, even winning out in the regular season and the BTT title. I think the best we could do is a 2 seed which isn't bad at all after the debacle that was Maui. If we win the last two regular season games and go 1-1 in the BTT that should get us comfortable protected seed. I think Lunardi incorporates a bit of shock value in his bracketology to get clicks and discussion. As someone pointed out above Joey brackets isn't really that accurate in his seeding of teams. With all that out there, I would like the latest of bracketology with a potential second round game against ISU and a sweet sixteen matchup against Nova.

Great article Hutch. Iowa and Maryland have been slumping but are still dangerous. A statement at CHA against the Hawkeyes is the last chance for a really good win in a true road environment. That would also guarantee a 6-3 conference road record and 8-5 away from the Hall in the regular season. Wins against both teams would also provide 2 more top 25ish RPI wins to boost the tourney resume that much more. I believe if IU wins out, in the regular season, they should be a 3/4ish seed. The BTT will provide even more opportunities to increase their seed. First thing first, take out a slumping Hawkeyes team on their senior night!

So you're saying we need to fill Cook Hall with trampolines....?

You know, Crossroads Classic, a preseason tourney, and a 26 game round robin B1G regular season... lol

There's that pUKe fan!! Maybe just a calimari fan? :cheese: -
We could definitely lose that game but... Iowa is going to have tired legs after traveling back tonight. I wonder if the Franimal is going to be pushing them in practice tomorrow. They looked mentally and physically fatigued right now. They will definitely have a shot of adrenaline for senior night but will it be enough?

PSU 2-1 NW 1-1 Neb 1-2 PSU would have to 9 seed and Michigan the 8 seed.

I think this is how the seeding would look if the season ended today. 2) Wiscy 3-2 3) Maryland 2-2 4) Iowa 2-2 5) MSU 2-3

My biggest concern next season deals less with personnel and more with leadership. If Troy returns does he mature and step up as a leader? Does RoJo take over as leader? Do players allow Hartman's voice to be heard and he steps up? I have some concerns about leadership after Yogi really stepped up throughout this season.

Having a "project" big sitting on the bench that you continue to develop would be part of lessening the blow if TB were to jump after this season....
-
I thought he was going to go all Franimal at the end there.

Iowa will fall in their seeding. They've lost their last three straight and 4/5 with their only win at home over Minny. Maryland will also most likely fall with losses in 3/4. IU really needs to take care of business at Iowa and at home against Maryland to possibly pass them in seeding.

Or in the 15 minutes it took to review it "I know it's wrong but I was told it was a two." Conspiracy theory...
