It looks like he has an incredible wingspan as well. He'll make a ton of money overseas, if he chooses.

Not sure if we have a 2019 recruiting thread but I can't search so I'll put here for now. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Yeah, this area is a melting pot of IU, UL, and puke. There's also a smattering of Xavier, Cincinnati, Dook, and other schools. I went to Scribner before transferring midway through my freshman year. I played in the band, percussion, at basketball game for several years. I was there when they were runner ups at state. -
Same, I do think that CuJo can be that scoring threat off the bench that we'll need. I'm excited to see how JMo, OG, and Bryant have all developed over the summer. I'm also thinking that Hartman and Bryant are guaranteed starters.

I'm in the area for a bit and intend on watching if I'm still around and healthy enough to get out. -

5. A few people have asked if I was surprised by any omissions when we polled coaches to see which player they'd most like to have on their team for this season. My short answer is ... No. I think all reasonable answers were provided -- along with a bunch of unreasonable answers. But if the question is who's the best player that not a single coach mentioned, the answer, I believe, is probably Indiana's Thomas Bryant.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Romeo or anyone in his camp are looking for a payout. I'm saying that it's difficult to recruit the top 20ish players in the country because a lot aren't on the up and up. From things I've read online and have heard from people in the area Romeo is a good young man that does right. -

I get that and agree to an extent. I think there is more to it than that though. How are these random schools landing top talent without having those things you mentioned? UCLA is landing good to great recruits without anything to show under Alford. WKU has a top 10 recruit for 2017, how? It's not FF or NC banners nor superstars in the NBA. Washington is landing them as well. There is A LOT more at play than those things you've listed. I believe we haven't landed these types of recruits because the staff is unwilling to play those games. It's really interesting to watch what top recruits IU makes it known they've stopped recruiting. I'm not saying that all top recruits are dirty and that's why IU hasn't gotten top 3 recruits. However, that is a big reason for a lot of those top recruits. “I am not saying that cheating is 80% of the game,” Izzo told USA TODAY. “It’s probably 20%. But it’s probably 70% of the top 20% (of player recruitments). College basketball is a business. This (recruiting) is a business now because it leads to ours.” Sooooo when it comes to the top 20 or so recruits then 14 are dirty leaving 6 to programs who don't cheat. Well you have some really good programs who don't cheat and might appeal to recruits because of coaches, distance from home, academics, etc. -

Generalizing again, was Ben Simmons expecting a championship at LSU? The kids up at Washington expecting a title? ( they've missed the tourney with a ton of talent) What about the kids at UCLA? There's been a ton of one and done talent go to teams that aren't close to winning a title. -
This is why I chose DD on the "will see time" line instead of a role player. If he's clicking by Jan-Feb he'll definitely have made his way onto the role player line. If he's able to hit the corner and trail threes like he was told to work on he could play a significant role down the stretch. If he's trailing for threes in the second unit and JMo, McSwain, OG, etc are filling the lanes to the basket that would be something to see. Overall, there is a ton of talent and basketball skill to play different types of basketball. I hope it's utilized to its full potential and we put together an excellent season!

Did you just quit work to fish...?

I wouldn't say it's set in stone or all of that has to happen for us to have a good season. I could see RoJo or CuJo stepping up if JBJ were to go down again. I'm actually expecting quite a bit from CuJo by the time B1G season rolls around. JMo has the potential to go from a role player to something in between a role player and a featured player. I could actually see a second unit of JMo and CuJo along with a few starters really getting it done. I placed DD and McSwain in the see time category because they're late arriving and will take awhile to catch up. If they come along and step up towards the end of the season that would give great depth to the front court. And hopefully the human victory cigars are in the game with about 3 minutes left in a 40 point blowout and not just 30 seconds...

^ That's solid! The mo better recruits we get the more he'll keep putting more guys into the NFL. Hoping for a really strong season and to see some more of the high rated instate guys commit to making IU great again!!! -
This is what I see. I see Bryant making a lot of players better because of his ability to cause double teams. I can see RoJo, Hartman, and CuJo benefiting from this a lot. I hope OG plays a bit with his back to the basket but I don't see it happening much if at all. If TB, OG, and JBJ all have their best season with several of the supporting cast having good seasons we should compete for another B1G title, be in the top 10 most of the season, and be at least in the sweet 16. I would categorize the players something like Featured: TB, OG, JBJ Role players: JMo, RoJo, Hartman, JN, CuJo See time: DD, McSwain, Green HVC: Priller, Gelon
-
How about that shark? Did you let him hold it before throwing it back? Those things are all muscle!
-
You're very narrow minded in your thinking and posting. If JN, JBJ, and RoJo all have decent seasons we can still have a great season. I expect Bryant to be the main focus of the offense with OG, JBJ, and possibly CuJo having good seasons. RoJo, JN, JMo, and Hartman all to be solid and possibly Green and Davis to pick it up midway through the B1G season. It's quite easy to think if x, y, and z don't happen we're screwed. However, believing that others could step up isn't being a homer. Again, that's narrow minded thinking. Edit: Not trying to dog you just being realistic why others on here have a difficult time with you. It's fine being a "realist non homer" but when everything you post is negative it seems like you are "pessimistic a-hole ex-Hoosier fan."
-
It would be completely different if you had like several positive posts about IU basketball and then posted that. However, almost all of your posts are negative. I don't agree that RoJo is a top 25 player at the moment. I actually think he has the ability to do more but is a team player and will do what it takes to win. If JN isn't as good as we think and JBJ isn't fully recovered we might see a RoJo that is a top 25 B1G player.
