Sorry about that, really wish there was something I could do about it.

Agree, I'm thinking we see more free throw line turnarounds that he started shooting towards the end of last season. Also, hoping he can be a zone buster by getting in the middle and making plays or scoring.

I've always thought IU needed an enforcer type player. Sheehey played his role perfectly on the 2011-2013 teams. I'm not sure there's a player on the current roster like that though. Maybe a McSwain or Davis? I would say Bryabt is protective of his teammates but wouldn't go out of his way to send a message, nor should he. JMo seems too laid back. I guess we'll have to wait and see if a player plays that role this upcoming season. That's terrible for UNC that he stayed so long it probably hurt their recruiting. He probably enjoyed those fake classes a lot.

The IU baseball unis are pretty sick. I've looked online to try and find a few. I do like that IU is trying to do the Oregon thing with a ton of flash in the football uniforms. The best though...

This is the interview I was referencing.

This might have been posted. Apologies if someone has posted it in another thread.

Always good to see Cheaney!

True, it's not like the material they're using is that much different. UA came out with some crazy cool sweat sickening material and now every company has some form of it. I used to only buy those really thin UA workout shirts but recently bought a few Adidas workout shirts (IU included) and they feel great. I like the different options of light and heavy material. I'm sure UA has the same options in similar material too.

I had a pair of stupid expensive Footjoy golf shoes that the sole came off during an extremely rainy round. I then bought a pair of Nike golf shoes at the clubhouse for the back nine. I had those for nine holes before replacing them. Why would you ever make black golf shoes? Why in the heck would I ever buy black golf shoes?!

Interesting one section of the article is titled "chess not checkers"

Especially if you bought it at the lemon lot. Amiright Alaska? Sadly this is true of a lot of things. I've had some expensive ties and shirts not hold up while some cheapies I bought in a pinch are still around. More my fault, I'm terrible with sunglasses. A pair of $5 aviators from the International Market won't break not can I lose them. A pair of Arnettes that cost $100 break within a few months.

Still have my Adidas running shoes I bought four years ago. They're still in great shape, fit right, and are clean. My Adidas golf shoes along with specialty socks make my feet feel like great sex in my shoes. My Adidas golf shirts and shorts are still in great shape and have lots of different designs and colors. My IU Adidas gear is awesome. My candy stripes still need to be hemmed though. My other gear is still in great shape. I had Adidas running shoes that I put hundreds of miles on training for a marathon. They were still in great shape before I turned them into trail shoes. What was the point of this post again? Oh, that IU uni above looks sick!

It's okay though my parents always said "cheaters never win and winners never cheat!"

That IU uni in the photo above is so ugly...

Indystar article on freshman who could see time playing Husky for IU before he's old enough to vote. -
Interesting article from SI. Auburn and Pearl killing it in re recruiting, basketball recruiting. Pitino also having a great summer on the recruiting trail. Edit: It also covers the timeline of recruits giving verbal commits. 2017 class is on schedule with the 2016 and 2015 classes as far as top 100 recruits. I'm sure all that will pick up soon. And, Pearl looks a little "creepy" in that photo

That sums it up... and I'm perfectly fine with it in a general sense. I really wish we could develop top level talent over three years while they get that degree and then take over the NBA!

Would really like to be back in paradise in time to sneak into the game at JBPPH against KU on Nov 11!

It's crazy talk but why not play two games at home against other Indiana teams as part of the Crossroads Classic? I do really like that we're playing IPFW up in the Fort. The two for one with Evansville (home 2010/2013, away 2011) worked out well. I would like to see IU play in some areas with a large alumni base (Chicago, NYC, DC) or different areas around the state in the noncon. Also, like last season we are really dependent on doing well against the top or our RPI will be a seed or two lower than it should be. If we go 0fer against KU, UNC, and UL we are looking at an uphill battle again.

I'm hoping I'm no longer in the area but I might buy tickets just in case.

I've posted for several years now that we need the following 3-4 games against top 25 teams (home, neutral, or away) 2-3 games against solid mid-majors or low power conference top 100-150 games 3-5 games against 151-250 2 games max against 250+ teams We should never have more than half our schedule against 250+ teams. I get that things change year to year but that's just terrible.

I don't disagree with where Romeo might end up. Southern Indiana isn't Hoosier country like I remember growing up. At that time you had some puke and UL fans but there were a lot more Hoosier fans. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. One of the next steps for Crean is landing those top 3-5 players, especially in somewhat of his backyard. Like pap posted above a lot has to do with connections. It just feels like NC State really hasn't done much. You compare them to IU over the last 5 years but they haven't been close in regular season success and I think they've only been to the Sweet 16 a few times. However, he's pulling classes like a top 25 team. I would disagree with Gottfried as a good coach. Okay coach? Maybe. I get UCLA getting some recruits because of location, history, etc but Alford isn't a very good coach either. He's had a ton of talent and has a Sweet 16 or two at UCLA without much regular season success... It's just interesting and gets frustrating when you dig deeper into it. It's also extremely messy and not something for the faint at heart. My point was the one offs though. They don't go to a particular school because of a great coach or a chance at a title. I believe they go there because of connections and things being promised in return for those players.
