  1. Maybe employ a 3 to make 2 like the NBA used to have. That way the intentionally fouled bad shooter would get an extra shot, if needed and potentially stop the comeback bid before it gets started, thereby speeding up the ending.
  2. Maybe you need to check again. B1G has adopted a non-free throw shooting option for league games this season. Instead of shots the fouled team will get the ball out of bounds with a fresh shot clock. But fouls will still be tracked with players getting 5 each.
  3. A team spends all game getting a 10 point lead and then a stream of anti-basketball plays drag the game out at the end and allow for a fluke comeback. It would be like somehow making intentional turnovers have value towards the end of games.
  4. Exactly, if my friends don't want to sit in good seats, don't, but you know where I'll be!
  5. I went to all the allotted football and basketball games and only 1 time did I ever sit with a friend. The game wasn't part of my packages and we bought the tickets in the parking lot. IU/Michigan Football '87. They were all FUN!
  6. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/putting-the-16-teams-with-a-realistic-shot-at-winning-the-2019-ncaa-tournament-title-into-tiers/amp/ 16 teams with chance to win the title. Indiana in the wild card tier!
  7. With you on the 1st part, not so sure on the 2nd.
  8. Even at Purdue: "He's our next Travis Carroll"
  9. Will Wade on a recent recruiting trip.
  10. Maybe we will get the 5th visit and can root for ourselves
  11. Isn't he scheduling an official visit for the Louisville game? That's gotta mean something. I think fans are the one slow dancing. The staff doesn't talk about the recruits any, it's the fans and media that drive the urgency. Brooks and TJD are local and we get more local reports, but each article is 99% rehashed and 1% nothing important, but it makes it seem like they are constantly "around" when they really aren't.
  12. If Brooks doesn't pull the trigger, I'd Watford becomes a priority.
  13. I think it's because people have been leading us to believe, that whatever school is 2nd, they'd be a far 2nd. A close 2nd existing isn't as comfortable.
  14. Big agenda, yep, that's it, you got me. Busted. Ever hear of the word opinion? If so, understand what it means? "Seemed like" is another way of saying, "In my opinion" Opinions are still allowed, right? When I read his full quote "in my opinion" it felt more like 'how does he get showcased?' than it did in most of the player quotes about development. So it set a little weird. I didn't feel all rah rah. MY OPINION, I'm sure much like many of yours, could be 100% wrong.
  15. It's always been my understanding that Lovellette was already moved into his dorm in Bloomington when Kansas whisked him away to Lawrence. "Most in the state believed that Lovellette would go to Indiana, as coach Branch McCracken had been great in luring the state’s best to Bloomington. However, Kansas, coached by Phog Allen, was able to convince Lovellette that he was the key to the success of the program (and that he had a future on an Olympic basketball team), which helped Allen lure Lovellette 447 miles away from his home to Lawrence, KS. Allen became a bitter rival and enemy to Branch McCracken following the recruiting battle, as McCracken spoke about Lovellette being “stolen” from right under him. Lovellette would go on to have an outstanding basketball career that included an NCAA title with Kansas in 1952, Olympic gold medal, and an NBA title (the first basketball player to hold that honor)."
  16. They listed us 6th in facilities, 6TH!
  17. I don't think he would either.
  18. Just on a pure "rankings" level, Eric Gordon and he was higher than Romeo. That's all you can go by in advance. Noah was right there, as well.
  19. Nope. I addressed the quoted comment and I compared a 20 ppg scorer on a team, that had little success. My comment had nothing to do with Romeo. Yes, Zeke worked out very well, but he wasnt one and done, maybe Isiah staying a 2nd year for a title cost us a recruit like Hurt? I'll take it.
