I left that softball alone. I can only imagine if we had beaten Wichita State and then lost to Lipscomb... I tire of all the should have, would have with respect to other coaches at other places. We have a coach, in a couple seasons we'll have a better idea how things look to be going. Right now is an is, but it's not enough for a trend.
-
What? Marshall? I read that wrong right? Wichita state went on a 14-0 run to beat Lipscomb by 7, right? Boy, that Marshall knows how to coach. If that had been Miller or Crean, we would have been the one's losing on a 14-0 run...

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves
HoosierHoops1 replied to CrossboneIU22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It makes no sense. The article states it's about $21k over 4 1/2 years. That's delivering pizza's 8 hours a week at night and certainly isn't Romeo's responsibility. -
NCAA declaring/considering NBA draft 2019
HoosierHoops1 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't think very many of the high profile players have. Maybe Gaffords and Garland. Blackmon, Bryant etc announced April 10th/11th. -
1 group missed 96ish, but it carried on 2 years after he left, with a run with his players. It was as hard to get the culture out of Knights players, as it is to get it into Creans.
-
Again, it's not just about a title, it's about being in position for a title run, regularly, and some breaks along the way. 75 in position with an injured player, 76 title, 81 title, 84 elite 8, 87 title, 92 final 4, 93 #1 team with injury, Patterson, Miller etc group was next in line but failed, 02 final game with mostly Knights roster, then lost focus, then lost culture.
-
Check into it. You might find it parallels when we stopped a midwest focus.
-
Recruiting the midwest (which is staying close to home) is a huge part of our Championship history. We may have had a player here and there outside that footprint, but certainly not many. Just a couple questions: How often does a final 4 not include a player from indiana? How often does UNC, Duke, Kentucky win a title without a Hoosier?

Or announce and not hire an agent. -
Their last final 4 immediately followed an NIT 2nd place. Of course IU was the NIT 1st place and it took us an extra year to win it all.

Is that the code name for shady payments?
-
That would suck. I want Duke to fall and fall hard!

That wasn't the question. Seems like every little crybaby over Romeo had to latch on to "we are playing better without him". That wasn't the case. I'm all in, all the time, for Indiana Basketball. I went to all 3 nit games. I appreciate that they didnt mail it in game one, but nothing about the play was "better without Romeo".
-
No we didn't, period! St francis was way over matched. Our 2, 3 and ft % against Arkansas were worse than Romeos averages and we all saw how we looked against WSU. I'd sure liked to have swapped some of those drives, Phinisee, Green and Durham had with it being Romeo instead and see how that game would shake out.

Suppose Romeo declares and after workouts etc, is told he's not a lottery pick, does he return? -
Fred Glass Retiring

Agreed, legitimate, ready,1 and done starts/contributes day 1 and elevates the team well beyond the previous season. Of those, i think Garnett, Lebron (add Kobe) were straight to the nba. That's my preference, straight to the league or Junior status of your high school class, before you can. -

College basketball was a lot better product when kids stayed 4 years and I would say the NBA was a better product when kids stayed in college 4 years. -

Why is everyone making the top 8 not include Justin Smith? We include guys that 3 days ago "that ship has sailed", but we want to cast out a guy who will be battling for Indiana in just a few hours? I don't get "fans". -

After reading the article, I'm saying DUK$, has the upper hand. https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/McDonalds-Trendon-Watford-closing-in-on-a-decision-may-take-one-more-visit-130495475/ -
