  1. We had that with Bracey Wright. Didn't win big. We had that with AJ Guyton. Didn't win big. I'm not saying that what Hurt meant, it's just how he said it, it sounded different. Not blaming him, I just wouldn't want a kid who felt that way. I need to find the article I read. The quote was longer than the indystar story.
  2. "see what he does FOR him." Was what I didn't like. Seemed like it was "How he sets him up to make plays, be a star and maintain his lottery value" not how Romeo improves and how well the team does. Hell, I'd be more impressed with IU and Miller, if Race comes out and averages 10 and 6, rather than Romeo getting 20 ppg..
  3. Depends on which Blue Chipper you get. Some don't want to work to get better or sacrifice for the team. Verbally, sure, but not in actions.
  4. Maybe, but still Apples and Oranges.
  5. Could be. I based my thought on his entire quote and it just didn't sit right. It sounded a little different than the way others have talked about development. Besides, what's the development of a 2 guard going to show a big? Maybe he should watch what's happened to Juwan the last couple years under Archie.
  6. And if takes us treating Romeo like Trae Young, to the detriment of the team, I don't want to land Hurt or anyone else like that.
  7. I would like to land Hurt, and that makes it sound like we have a shot, but I don't like the actual quote. Not 1 bit.
  8. Pitino: "Welcome to my podcast. You're in for a real treat. I've got a jam-packed show 1-2, maybe 3 hours long, so informative that it will send shivers down your spine and leave you begging for more. So let's get started... (shuddering, his eyes roll back in his head) So that's all we've got for this weeks edition, hope to see you again soon, please."
  9. I think we've got a real shot. Obviously, only 1 of the bunch will land him, so it's slim for any 1 school at the moment.
  10. The Ill-Annoy faithful are going to go nuts.
  11. Some parts of it appeared to be. The player images weren't but there were some small instances of the corner of the court falling away.
  12. They did look a little bored, but there were a couple of times they clapped. I think they are pretty typical (bored) teenagers.
  13. With certainty? If teams leave Evan Fitzner open they are going to pay!
  14. I'm not sure we can infer anything after a 15 minutes, clock running scrimmage, about what anyone will do in real games this year. Gotta always remember, Curtis Jones best game, by far, came in his 1st game.
  15. I believe it was the Oladipo Zeller Legacy Lounge.
  16. Perhaps they should get Laurel instead
  17. What? You don't agree Kennessaw State is a really tough team, in a really tough conference, with some really tough players, that are going to be really tough to play well against?
  18. There are exceptions but we don't have over 50% of our student ticket holders with 7 p.m. classes
  19. Good point. Maybe we would win more then if they'd get their butts in their seats, so we get off to better starts.
  20. If our tickets were to the 1st 3500 ardent students to stand in line, you'd see that change, but our section is about 7800 students, many of whom are going because it's what you do.
  21. Yes, and a lot of people with kids, who would much rather watch the scrimmage, bite the bullet and get in line, because they don't want to miss out on the kid getting an autograph. For the record, I said I would quit coming if they did away with the scrimmage, didn't say I would quit coming if some popular rapper also performed. Seems like Sampson tried to go that route (can't remember the rapper or his star power) with Devin Ebanks, Lance Stephenson and group.
  22. Seems to me that most of these early leavers are also the "real game" late arrivers.
  23. In all likely-hood, if all you want to attend is students, who hardly show up for a full game, then maybe you're on to something.
