On 247 there were quite a few on board with it, but there was a definite faction that want no part.  Some mentioned Miller and Marshall, the occasional Stevens mention (dream on Bama, dream on).

Well if it's Crean and their 247 board is any indication, they'll be pretty torn.

When you're at an IU it's kind of difficult to upgrade.

Yeah, there's not many coaches I wouldn't trade for Donovan and one of them is in Boston right now.

I live not far from the river, got a few UK fans as friends.  One of them wants us to keep him forever, which from a rival is a bad thing, but another UK friend that used to work with AAU said himself IU deserves better.

Let's assume all that happens, what about when those players leave and we're in the same boat we're in now? You're picking the battle over the war. Staus quo is the worst thing for Indiana basketball, Crean doing just enough to keep his job but not actually accomplishing much puts us in basketball purgatory.

Cut them some slack, they're as much of a football school as it gets.  I'm surprised they even know they have a basketball team.   Tell them it was invented to keep football players in shape (that's what I've read, not sure how true but whatever), then maybe they'll start to give a crap.  Maybe.

More like pure contempt.  If they were playing a team composed of Adolph Hitler, Heinrich Himler, Benito Mussolini, Osama Bin Laden and Fidel Castro with Joseph Stalin coming off the bench, I would root for dictators.  I want to see them get demolished so badly that tales are written about it, and everyone believe that such destruction can be merely a myth.  I want to see an apocalyptic beatdown of biblical proportions that would make Sodom and Gomorrah look like Bora Bora.  I'm talking fire and brimstone raining down, to take Lexington off the map.  Envy?  Hardly.

This news even makes Batman want to dance.   Hell, even the Power Rangers are dancing about this.

We may need to make an offering to the basketball gods for Tyra Buss to stay si we can at least have one good guard.

Houston, we have a problem. I so hope Buss doesn't leave. She looks good in cream and crimson and arlt least gives us one good guard.

Best of luck to her. I was hoping she'd adjust to the new system and get back to being the solid contributor she was her freshman year, had a feeling this would happen though.

The kind of student that never had much use for drinking?  Although I did drink before going to a FIG "class" about drinking once along with my roommate at the time.

I remember stopping by that BK for breakfast myself a few times.  Get out of an early class, walk to the union to get breakfast at BK, then head on down to the bookstore and see if there's anything I want.  Got a nice set of IU golf club head covers there.

His house would then have a bowling alley, theatre, pool hall, and food service like BK (if that's still in there).  Plus he'd be like a deity, instead of second-fiddle.   That would be awesome.

I don't think the players should be booed, and even though I think the booing is directed toward Crean I don't expect them to know that.  When there is a substandard product on the floor there's is a definite chance of booing, my only real issue is that players probably think it's directed at them even if it isn't.

I would too.  Purely hypothetical but imagine the waves that would send?  That's the kind of hire that would create buzz.   He's seen what IU is capable of too.

See, this is why I can't hate Purdue.  If we're not relevant, then what does that make them?  We're so irrelevant we seep into their every thought.   And their all-time head to head lead was built pre-WWII, we've owned them for like the past 70 years.

Sad thing is that 1932 "championship" was awarded retroactively because the Helms foundation didn't even exist at the time.
