  1. Dang -- you weren't kidding about Woods being USC's 'rent-a-point guard'. Freshman year - Troy/part-time starter Sophomore year - NC A&T/starter Junior year - NC State/buried on bench Senior year - Robert Morris/starter Covid year - USC/mid-season pick up and starter
  2. Allow me to pump the breaks juuuust a little :) We are certainly not as bad as we looked during that losing streak, and we also likely are not as good as we’ve been during the three game winning streak. Now if we had a glass cleaning, intimidating big? Then we’d be one hellacious contender with this group. (but we don’t)
  3. Nick Dorn is really good at basketball. A nice thing to make a coach look good.
  4. And that’s because when a player pops for the Indiana University Football team, he is committing to the defending national champions? Thought so.
  5. That's a positive matchup description for IU IMO. That having been said, it is very tough to win two straight road games, especially against solid teams in a different time zone.
  6. "The greasy-@$$ Taco Hell dollar-menu crunchy taco is an overlooked misfit that nobody respects, but gosh darn it, I totally respect the hard work that went into creating it. That crunchy bargain taco can compete with any designer avocado, mahi-mahi foofy-@$$ taco. Thanks be to the big guy above for Taco Hell and GO CRUNCHYGREASY!!"
  7. Number 589 composite; so enters the rankings trending to a borderline four star. We offerred and got the commitment from him when he only had MAC offers, so clearly we saw something there early and others are noticing now that he committed to the defending national champions. (Won't ever get tired of typing that)
  8. The talking heads and fans have the same, expected, understandable, run-the-gamut,human reactions every time. The head coach and his staff are different, for better or worse, every time.
  9. I am able to drink ambidexterously. I know! It's impressive.
  10. You mean to tell me that schools reached out to a highly successful mid-major player BEFORE he officially went into the portal?
  11. Top ten overall nationally and from Chicago.
  12. That 100% sucks—So sorry to hear about your weather disaster; hope it resolves asap. But never daunted means NEVER! The next time daunt strikes take one of these ASAP:
  13. If hoping for the best and saying it out loud is wrong, I don’t wanna be right!
  14. Hey AZ; you know what is likely more common from Archie’s first year? Lots and lots of posters said “It’s too early to tell” and were thereafter labeled sunshine pumpers. Same thing that many said during Todd Golden and Hurley’s terrible first year. And the same thing many concluded during Woodson’s first season.
  15. Unranked, but about to be ranked. Stacking P4 offers from the Midwest. When you are the national champs and in early? Every other team is thinking “crap.”
  16. They were guessing back when the ink was barely dry on his contract. Turns out they were right, but they were guessing. And after Woody years one and two, almost everyone had backed off and considered initial returns to be positive. So we’re guessing about Devries being a success currently, just like we were two weeks ago about him being a failure. Patience and perspective is a better mindset methinks.
  17. I was one of the wiling to entertain it. Clearly there were better choices, and we have one of them.
  18. Si tu tía tuviera testículos, sería tu tío
  19. Tucker Devries is 6’7” with below average length and bounce. The last three games his rebounding totals have been: Rutger—10 Puredoo—10 UCLA—10 That’s some serious effort and grit.
  20. Exactly. One thing I’m confident about with this team: They have the intestinal fortitude to have a terrible loss (and yes, that will happen) and get their heads straight very quickly afterwards. No Archie ‘stay sad’ long losing streak mindset with a CDD squad.
  21. Sadly, Lee was eyeing knee braces. Josh then went to greeting cards looking for a get well soon for Lee.
  22. There was an autograph session at the CVS yesterday: Josh, Omar, Tyrique, Khobie, and a very motivated and positive Lee Beebe there and quick hit interviewed. On3 has the clips on YouTube.
  23. No reason that we won’t win at Puredoo. Of course we might not, but no reason we cannot.
  24. Must see press conference from Mick Cronin. In under six minutes he manages to take a giant sh.t on everyone and everything. It is a little scary and a lot hilarious. This transcript are his opening comments and it stays like this the whole dang time! A must see—trust me.
