  1. Damn, I thought I was hitting some of your lane by going with a 30-year-old album. They don’t call you old fart for nothing!
  2. If he doesn’t, that doesn’t speak especially well for Tino.
  3. Does that mean that for my current state of running stride I should be listening to Springsteen‘s Nebraska album?
  4. I know of zero basis to state that Alberto Mendoza should be a higher ranked QB than Sorsby. Did TTech overpay for Sorsby? Yes -I agree with you. But Alberto ranked higher? Alberto Mendoza has not played during ANY meaningful game time (except for one handoff against OSU). Cignetti could have retained Alberto at a much lower price than we chose to spend for Hoover. Finally, if his name was "Alberto Jones" and he had the exact same resume as Alberto Mendoza; the seldom used backup on another team with fantastic quarterback development would you think the same? There's a ready-made comparable: Ohio State qb Lincoln Kienholz made a push for the starting job this past season before losing out Sayin. He threw for 139 yards and a touchdown and ran for 66 yards and two scores as the backup. The Buckeyes used Kienholz as a runner in short-yardage situations.
  5. Top half/third of the conference for high school recruits has to be a program best ever, right?
  6. Eight of them, including the entire staring five! Pretty awesome.
  7. What do you think, Demo? This response pretty much says it for me:
  8. A very interesting summary of other options. BuckyBall going really well! Scott Drew? No bueno. Not good at all. Chris BeardtheBobKnightDisciple? Hoo buddy - bad bad bad. Brad "the IU fanbase HATES that idea" Brownell? Incredibly excellent year, again. Another interesting summary of notable 'other options' is that Bruce Pearl, Jay Wright, and Brad Stevens are currently un-de-freakin-feated this season.
  9. Pretty straightforward: We all have a boss who at some point gets to decide. If you don't like the boss' decision you can say no, at the risk of being fired yourself. Pat took that route, and so did his bosses.
  10. Skinny Shaq! reeeeally skinny Shaq. Kidding aside, Bailey is now playing great ball and doing things that it didn't appear he was capable of - adding edge and physicality halfway through his senior season is pretty excellent. But he will never be a player whose best attributes are size and physicality. WIsh we had a less skilled, beat em up guy on the roster, but we tried and struck out on a few of that type.
  11. My post stating that we need to pump the breaks before stating that we are as good as we've looked during the winning streak, and adding that the staff should have (but didn't) get a defensive, rebounding big ... even that makes me a Devries defender? Aye caramba... Guilty! (I guess... lol) ps: Devries is 50; he's not that young - a year older than Dusty and a decade older than Todd Creepy-Golden.
  12. Dang -- you weren't kidding about Woods being USC's 'rent-a-point guard'. Freshman year - Troy/part-time starter Sophomore year - NC A&T/starter Junior year - NC State/buried on bench Senior year - Robert Morris/starter Covid year - USC/mid-season pick up and starter
  13. Allow me to pump the breaks juuuust a little :) We are certainly not as bad as we looked during that losing streak, and we also likely are not as good as we’ve been during the three game winning streak. Now if we had a glass cleaning, intimidating big? Then we’d be one hellacious contender with this group. (but we don’t)
  14. Nick Dorn is really good at basketball. A nice thing to make a coach look good.
  15. And that’s because when a player pops for the Indiana University Football team, he is committing to the defending national champions? Thought so.
  16. That's a positive matchup description for IU IMO. That having been said, it is very tough to win two straight road games, especially against solid teams in a different time zone.
  17. "The greasy-@$$ Taco Hell dollar-menu crunchy taco is an overlooked misfit that nobody respects, but gosh darn it, I totally respect the hard work that went into creating it. That crunchy bargain taco can compete with any designer avocado, mahi-mahi foofy-@$$ taco. Thanks be to the big guy above for Taco Hell and GO CRUNCHYGREASY!!"
  18. Number 589 composite; so enters the rankings trending to a borderline four star. We offerred and got the commitment from him when he only had MAC offers, so clearly we saw something there early and others are noticing now that he committed to the defending national champions. (Won't ever get tired of typing that)
  19. The talking heads and fans have the same, expected, understandable, run-the-gamut,human reactions every time. The head coach and his staff are different, for better or worse, every time.
  20. I am able to drink ambidexterously. I know! It's impressive.
  21. You mean to tell me that schools reached out to a highly successful mid-major player BEFORE he officially went into the portal?
  22. Top ten overall nationally and from Chicago.
  23. That 100% sucks—So sorry to hear about your weather disaster; hope it resolves asap. But never daunted means NEVER! The next time daunt strikes take one of these ASAP:
