    Reed Bailey Is A Hoosier!

Inside the Hall is running a really good new article on Reed with some new lineup quotes from Devries. Pretty optimism-inducing stuff- Devries makes him sound like a Danny Wolf clone. Also notable that from this interview it seems overwhelmingly likely that Reed Bailey, Tucker Devries, and Lamar Wilkerson will be the focal points of this team. https://www.insidethehall.com/2025/06/20/reed-bailey-will-bring-a-unique-skillset-to-new-look-iu-frontcourt/

I am looking forward to watching them + Conerway. Lots of interesting lineup combinations depending on the fifth player on the floor. Think it’s going to be a really fun year 1

Was in a mood to look for re-worked versions of great songs and found this. From Peter Gabriel’s 3rd album, which I love. Maybe my favorite track on the record. Incredible song. Re-done by a truly great creative artist with a giant catalog of fascinating alternative versions. Literally yelped when I found it. Couldn’t turn it on fast enough, and….. it blows. Seriously, it’s bad. How did that happen? Hate the vocal so, so much. Unvelievable.

Yeah. Thunder built their team effectively through the PG trades/move. Acquired SGA from the clips and continued to build their young team. Rockets were on strong path with their mostly young gunners. Durant is maybe the most efficient/effective scorer in the League, but 37 and the Rockets largely gave up on building around the developing strong young players. Side note - guess who the Heat refused to trade for Durant…. A young core IU player…

Obviously not the subject matter of the moment, but in a week or so, after the victory parade, I really need someone to explain the Durant trade to me from the Houston perspective.

    2025 Boys AAU Season

DDV and Adams now watching '27 Jason Gardner Jr. and the Fishers squad. Per Raby, we had representation at Indy, DC, Philly and KC this weekend. There is another limited Evaluation Period next weekend for high school and JUCO certified so prep schools will again not be involved. Interesting to see where the staff is next weekend and who they're primarily watching.

Also found the video interesting in that new Director of Basketball Operations Garrett Sturtz, at the ripe age of 25, was in the mix. Sturtz is a former walk-on at Drake who became their all-time rebounding leader as a 6'3" guard. Seems like a young coach on the rise for sure. Also notable: Tucker and Enright dressed but not on video during the full contact stuff.

Hitting me with the good stuff right here. Who filled this role last year? Maybe Ya or Walsh? Norton is the on court go to guy and so is Devries. That’s at least one more than last year.

So intense, engaged, and detailed… I know it’s a hype clip but I’m impressed with Coach Norty. This staff really seems like night and day from the last one and that really should make a difference…
