Is Racism Root of Indiana Pacers Poor Attendance?

Recommended Posts

No. NBA basketball is just to hard to watch when you are a college ball fan. And since Indiana has such great college basketball (IU, Butler, Notre Dame, IUPUI, Ball State, Valpo, Indiana State, pretty sure that's it), there aren't many pure NBA fans around.

Great article by Bob Kravitz of Indianapolis Star rebutting Colin Cowherd's of ESPN claim of racism by Hoosiers.

Great Article and Bob Kravitz in the same sentence.... Color me surprised.  He nailed it though.  Colin Cowterd is horrible.  I don't know why anyone listens to him.

Like it or not I see it like this... It's Cowherds first week back on the air in Indy, he knows this, so what better way to get his name out than to shake things up. He did this on purpose, for ratings. He also knows his show is on the same time as Dakich, who like him or not is doing very well for himself these days.

Indiana is the center of the basketball world but with that said Indiana will always be a college state. I'm not a pacers fan but if you asked me to choose be my pro team and IU my choice will be IU everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

I agree that it's IU before Pacers in a sense. I'm a diehard for both, but a Hoosiers championship means more to me. I wore Victor's jersey to the Magic/Pacers game. Felt guilty about it from a pacers standpoint, but it was strictly for Vic. I wore some Pacers gold as well. Pacers won and Vic had a pretty good night. It was a win win. Perhaps Hoosiers/Pacers coexist well after all.

Here's a way to get more attendance- trade for Vic/Cody, unfortunately this is pretty implausible because the Pacers are set and have no place for them.
