Nice stats write up from IU Athletics

Recommended Posts

Great article. I can't believe our 3-point stats were so impressive last season given our utter lack of shooters.

Yogi sure helped it a lot. He was the only consistent shooter.

This looks like a puff piece thrown out by the athletic department trying to create optimism after a bad year.

If they wanted to write this article, they could have done it last year at this time when the numbers would have been even more impressive from a cumulative standpoint. It's like they're trying to make last year not look as bad as it was by puffing it up with stats from the previous two years. Why did they stop at a three year cumulative span? Because four years ago wasn't pretty.

In my opinion, the athletic department is trying to prove that we did not necessarily take a step back last year.

Totally agree, seemed like a good PR type of thing. Seems the case especially because it's from IU Athletics and not a fan-based entity like ITH or btownbanners here.   Still, I find the numbers and stats an interesting read.
