Game #4 @ 5:00PM: St. Joseph’s Metuchen (NJ) vs Wilbraham & Monson (MA)

While all eyes will naturally be on the Karl Towns Jr. vs. Goodluck Okobonoh match-up, this game will feature an array of other future high-level D1 prospects. Leading the way for St. Joe’s is, of course, Towns. The 7-1 senior and Kentucky-commit is widely recognized for his versatility and ability to drop quadruple-doubles. He creates match-up problems, forcing defenders to come out on the perimeter, where he can sink three-pointers or put the ball on floor and take you to the rim. When he’s not looking for his shot, he can just as easily find open teammates. The future Wildcat averaged 20.6 points, 14.0 rebounds and 5.3 blocks last season, ultimately earning Gatorade state POY honors. Assisting Towns is Wade Baldwin, a 6-2 point guard committed to Vanderbilt. He loves pushing the ball and is constantly looking to attack, while also known for being a terrific passer. St. Joseph’s finished with a 27-5 record last season and won the NJSIAA Non-Public A championship.

For Wilbraham & Monson, Okobonoh will most likely be assigned to guard Towns. A 6-9 center committed to UNLV, Okobonoh is known for his shot blocking. He is superb at crashing the boards on both ends of the floor and finishes strong. On the frontcourt with Okobonoh is Max Hoesztel, an Indiana-commit. The 6-7 senior forward has some range that extends out to the perimeter. Junior wing Curtis Cobb, and fellow 2015 forwards Marcel Pettway and Joe Schneider have drawn interest from multiple high-major D1 schools.
