Evan Gordon

Recommended Posts

A quick tip of the cap to Evan Gordon for playing his role beautifully in his first game as a Hoosier:

->  Let the game come to him

->  Steadying influence whenever he was on the court

->  Looked to me like an 85% free throw shooter. Will be on the court at the end of close games when we're ahead.

Excellent

Couldn't agree with you more Stu.  I was worried with him wanted to dominate and take the game over being his senior year and back in Indiana.  He let the game come to him and fit in perfectly with the cast of players around him.  His leadership and free throw shooting will pay off dividends for this team.  Can easily see him winning a game or because of that.

i love what he adds to the team. I know im probably being obvious here to some, but i feel like he can bring more to the table than Will can. I love Will and what he has to offer, and i know he scored more than gordon, but i have a feeling gordon is going to have a better year.

After the exhibitions, I wasn't worried that he'd want to take over a game and do too much.

However, I didn't expect him to play with so much poise amid the chaos. To contribute and look like a fifth year senior was the trick, and so far (albeit against Chicago State) he did just that.

Appreciate the added love for Evan, but in regard to your thoughts about his value to the team vis-a-vis Will.....

youre probably right, i just feel like Will is kinda just there. I like his experience and everything but he really only has a midrange jumpshot, he does like to drive too, but idk lol he has a lot of dumb passes as well. But id say youre right though

Will's hasn't been much of an outside shooter since his sophomore year, but if you look it up Evan's never been much of an outside shooter.  Last year Evan shot 34% in a weaker conference, the same as Will.  His best was 35.6% when he was a freshman at Liberty, and even this year Evan has said he can't beat Will in shooting competitions.
