I am a huge Dolphins fan (don't ask why) and was just wondering what all of you guys thought about the Incognito-Martin "scandal" that is surfacing right now. All of the players came out today and defended Incognito, saying that not even two weeks ago Incognito and Martin were best friends and Martin was laughing with his teammates about the voicemail that has been released. I just want other opinions to see what other people think about this.

 

They are currently 4-4 and could still make the playoffs quite easily, but this is just a distraction. I'm so infuriated by it. This never happens to my teams... Oh wait, Kelvin Sampson.

My opinion will probably be extremely unpopular but so be it. From the way it sounds to me is that Martin needs to man up. If he felt something crossed the line take it up with incognito instead of crying and taking his ball and going home. The players there have a better grasp of what's went on than we do so I believe what they're saying about the situation. I keep seeing people say incognito won't get another job in the NFL but I'd be willing to bet he'd find one before Martin. At some point you have to be a man and stick up for yourself. This is about where I'm at right now. There are conflicting stories between the players and the management. It might take a few days to get it sorted out, I just hate that it is such a distraction... I don't want it to take away from winning.

It just seems like the players are staunch supporters of Incognito. It's all crazy.

I'm sorry, but even if "the voicemail" was a joke, it's still ridiculous for anyone to be using that language, black or white. They are a bunch of grown men, they need to keep themselves under control. I don't want Incognito or Martin back with the Dolphins. I think we need to move on without them.

I do t think either side is right or wrong. Something happened that affected Martin. That is 100% fact. It's also fact that Incognito sent a nasty voicemail. Beyond that, nobody knows.

I read some tweets a Miami beat writer who makes it sound like the coaching staff had incognito "toughen up" Martin. I'm sure he took it too far, but I can 100% see that happening. Who knows why Martin really left, but he did and now will be seeking punitive damages for sure. If. The coaches really said that, and there is proof they did... The whole Dolphins organization is in for some trouble.

All that being said, incognito seems like a punk. Some of the videos I've seen of him from Hard Knocks don't paint him out to be the best teammate or person for that matter. Will be interesting to see what comes of all of this.

Incognito did an interview with Jay Glazer and produced a text from Martin to him that said "I will murder your whole effing family". Starting to look like a lot of people wanted to burn incognito at the stake without getting the whole story. Jay Glazer tweeted that he did in fact see the text message.

The text message transcript got released and Jonathon Martin is going to be in for it. Everyone jumped to conclusions and based on the texts it looks like Incognito was telling the truth.

Saw some of these last night. Looking more and more like Martin is in the wrong in this situation. He'll have trouble finding a spot on an NFL roster.

I'd just get rid of him because there would be too much (bad) publicity surrounding it. Better to just move on with a new offensive line.

Incognito got reinstated by the dolphins today. Doesn't mean much though since he's a FA next month.

Really hope they're smart and just let him walk, regardless of the outcome of the investigation, which is supposed to be released this week.
