IUMS @ Butler - Wednesday, 09.04.24 @ 7:00

On the road in Indianapolis to face Butler (2-0-1) at the Bud and Jackie Sellick Bowl located just east of Hinkle Fieldhouse.  Bulldogs have defeated Southern Indiana and Oakland by identical 2-1 scores and played to a 1-1 draw with Western Illinois.  Match will be streamed at www.flofc.com which I'm assuming is a $ site.

Yes it is the most expensive streaming site on the planet for sports.

It is $30 a month or $150 for the year. First two games of IU women's tourney in Bahamas on it as well. However, not sure when else IU fans might need it unless they want to watch Big East content or some of the other holiday tournaments.

I have defended this streaming model in some ways, but FloHoops pricing is way out of whack compared to other streamers by about double and I am not sure why (maybe because they have fewer subscribers they have to charge each one more to make ends meet?).

I'll be there so not worried about streaming price personally this time but just an FYI for IU fans. Don't shoot the messenger;).

IU will take their 1-0 lead into halftime. Outside of the PK whiff, Hoosiers played a great opening 45 min. of soccer. Indiana was excellent shutting down the Bulldog attack over the top and looked very dangerous going forward on offense.

And we escape with a 1-1 tie.  Butler threw everything it had at us in the 2nd half but we withstood their attacks.  For the match we finished with 10 shots;  5 on goal; 7 corners but only managed 4 shots in the 2nd half  Butler finished 17-8-6 with 13 of those shots (5 on goal) coming in the 2nd half.  Butler was also very physical in its play picking up a total of 4 yellows and committing 16 fouls.

Next up for us is next Monday night when we host Dayton.
