Class of '66 Old Fart

(2022) - SG Justice Williams to LSU to Robert Morris

Recommended Posts

Williams didn't play a lot of minutes this past high school season as a member of a loaded Montverde Academy team.  His AAU team is Team Final and it's hosting an event this weekend.   From the published scheduled, Team Final will play 2 games on Sunday the 18th  --  11:40 and again at 3:40.  And from what I've seen the games will be available on YouTube.  Obviously, we have no idea at this point if IU will still be interested in Williams but Sunday could be an opportunity to see him in a larger role than he played for Montverde.

I believe Bruiser Flint was the lead when we offered him in July 2020 and possibly no longer on the IU radar.

Dushawn London on Williams from this past weekend's AAU event -

Justice Williams: Williams was scoring the ball in a variety of ways but his pull up jumper was really on display for Team Final. Williams got some reps at the point guard spot and played well, while still scoring the ball at an efficient rate. While he played a very solid overall game. The only thing that may be holding him back would be body development, but that will come with time and give him the possibility of being a very solid college guard. Michigan, Maryland, and UConn are among schools involved with Williams as of now.

Not much of anything but it's about all you can get from most of these weekend events.  Hopefully, when the shoe company events start we'll get much more info.

Team Final with a big win over Bates. The perimeter of Corey Floyd, Otega Oweh and Justice Williams attacks with toughness and are team based players.

Note:  The Bates team features Emoni Bates but the team itself is far from a powerhouse.
