18 yrs ago today the lives of not only the 3000 families who suffered the loss of loved ones, but millions of families were forever changed. Over the course of these next 18 yrs, they would see their families become separated by deployments of their loved ones to places around the world to help in the Global War on Terrorism(GWOT). They would be deployed to Combat Zones and other places to support those in Combat or provide security to bases and airports. Some, like my brother Craig and many of my military brothers, would see multiple deployments. Many of these families would never see their loved ones again. My one regret is not pushing my BC to let me go with Effingham unit to Iraq. That was the worst yr of my life. Please keep these families and the families of those lost on this day in your prayers
