Osterman says we are going to be 2x the B1G avg for bball rev share. Of the $22M rev share, on avg around 75-80% goes to FB and that leaves $3-4M for bball with the remainder to other sports. Double the avg bball rev share is going to be something like $6-7M, then layer on the NIL on top of that and I think we need to be $10M+ rev share + NIL to be a top-10 payroll program. These are high level estimates, but you can see how $7M seems light.

Just noting that $7M NIL + rev share isn’t good. I hope it’s much higher and I think it will be.

I’m excited. We’ve just got to see how he does. In reality few of us have any ability to assess a coach. We don’t know who would come to IU, what they are like, what they were working with at their current jobs, and how they would translate to IU. DDV could be better or worse than Otz, Ben, Beard, whoever. I’ve got to hope Scott’s judgment is good. I’m optimistic and looking forward to the portal.
