Bailey, DeVries, Enright, Conerway, Brennan, Goode, Ward, Overton, Lindsay, Sisley, Oporum would be a helluva team to root for. It's not unreasonable. Maybe add two more hs kids. We are in contact with Nyk and Acaden Lewis. Brennan and Conerway may be the two most physical players at their position in the portal. I know Brennan is.

You are correct on offense imo. Defensively he's a liability at the 5. Look at his defensive metrics defending around the bucket. He's our Alex Condon. We need a Chinyelu to go with him. Then the JUCO big off the bench with 3 years of eligibility is pretty exciting.

There's a few things that could work to our advantage right now. I'm not saying they will and certainly aren't suggesting this is a part of a grand scheme but there's going to be another rush of quality players hit the portal. The teams out there loading up right now will have defections when they feel recruited over. Then there's the guys that go to the combine and are told they aren't ready. By then we'll have 9 or 10 players and DD can better explain a role and how a player of that caliber could be a game changer. We might still have access to a large chunk of NIL.

My initial thoughts were more Jobe, but then you look at the schools inquiring and the remaing years of eligibility and it's an interesting player.

I have an opinion of the hire and subsequent actions of the coach. The current staffing situation because of those actions as well. As well as an opinion of the AD and Presidents process to getting here and all things IU Mens hoops. It's just my opinions. Knowledgeable and seasoned opinions but still jmo. We settle in and wait. It's going to be ok, maybe a little better than ok and that's probably it.

Fans look at the portal and have a rough idea what the coach is looking for. It's natural as fans to wonder what the heck is going on.

The Conwell one sucked because there was some early noise about the time we thought Murphy and Moikobu were going to be the big boys in the recruiting room. But Adam's got him on campus. We do what we always do and get our hopes up and Conwell commits to Louisville 24 hours later, like he stopped off in Bloomington to pi55 on his way there and we end up without a staff. Dix was the biggest bag chaser of all. Sick mom and he visits a few schools to secure a closing price wtf? I'm not sure DD should get too much rope for the staff thing. That's pretty important when you take a job.

We're a mess, he's stumbled out of the gate with the staffing. He didn't want to be sitting their working phones with Drew and Nick Norton. I think he believed he had an all-star staff locked up and they used him for a pay raise. Chester Fraiser with him last year was a big deal. Kenny will catch up. We need bodies. Then there will be some dudes late in the cycle that are difference makers, maybe backing out of the draft, and we can blow 5m on two of them. To hell with Wilkerson there are plenty of shooters out there.

Staff means everything. He had an assistant head coach that had connections and brought players when he started at WVU. He had Tucker and Yesufu. Same trick here with Tucker and Enright. These other schools have had an advantage, Kenny will help, but we still need another guy on the phones.

I think by now Kenny has a relationship with everyone. Good guy, he'll be on the road chasing ball players when he's 75. He's a lifer. He used to be THE guy as a recruiter. The young new splashy guys have caught up a little. Maybe he can catch Sorber after the combine and get him to IU. We are going to see alot of the dmv/east coast action pick-up. Adams just needs to lock-up Indy Elite. That's the only reason to have him on staff. Indiana aau and introduce coach to everyone that doesn't hate him.

These are the moments being fully staffed would help. These kids are going to feel portaled over qnd start dropping commitments. We are trying to get Nyk Lewis interested. We were anyway.

Brzovic, Bailey, DeVries, Wilkerson and Conerway is interesting. TC can't shoot but might be the best defender at his position in the portal. He's disruptive. Moore, Enright, Goode and Sisley as a start to the bench is respectable. A lot of industry people believe it's a soft pivot out of the extra covid year. The juco eligibility change has had alot to do with the reasoning.
