When everyone is healthy i believe Enright will come off the bench. Three players are locks: Tucker, Wilkerson, Conerway. I assume Bailey gets the nod over Alexis. So it's Dorn, Miles or Trent. Before we get to conference play my money is on Trent.

(2027) - Jalen Brown

I said this when Trent went to Montverde, they are physically ready to go when they're freshmen. The public school kids aren't as prepared. Players like Brown are great to develop. Super skilled but need a little more time to adjust and catch up physically. Probably say the same about Moody. We need to land a pg and a frontline player from one of the factories. -
Obviously we'll attempt to have our "bigs" on the floor, but in the deepest recesses of my soul I don't think we have a player over 6'8 that belongs in a big ten game. I'd embrace it and go with Sisley, Dorn, Tucker, Wilkerson and Conerway. Push it, push it, push it and lead the nation in shot attempts.

I think the talking heads out there are going to be in for a surprise when we start getting commitments from some of these bigger names that have us on their short lists. -
I totally agree. I think we're on the Todd Golden plan more than the May, Kelsey, Pope plan. I think you're a 100% correct on the Murphy/Moikobu assessment. Way to much to ask of Norton and Adams to build an instant turnaround portal roster with their areas of expertise. HOWEVER, next year I anticipate Kenny and Rod will give us something to work with.

I think I have to agree with hoosierfan. As big as a cluster f as the first couple months of the DD era was, he does have an exceptional group of recruiters now that he appears to be lock step with. Taylor, Almond, Moody and Rippey is my guess. I wouldn't rule out another shooter foreign or domestic. If we retain everyone, we may not be in the portal business much moving forward, which would suit me just fine. It looks like a 3 year plan, but maybe that's the best way to build a culture.

(2026) - Latrell Allmond to OK State

I like everything about this kid. I'd love to see him in person. High motor that wants to get better on both ends. Has a thought process with his offensive game. Built for the B1G and can knock down open looks. He's a definite year 1 contributor. -

He's a Sampson type player. -
(2026) - Anthony Thompson to O$U

Saw him two years ago and last summer and was impressed with how much his skills had improved but felt like he had become almost a bad teamate. Hopefully we would be the right environment, with enough talent with him to fix that. If so, he's only getting better and would be a tremendous add. -

One of my favorites in the 27 class. He's only gotten better as his body matures. -

" a little ditty about Arafan Diane,,,," -
We have last year behind us now. Look forward to potentially landing some talented hs players and getting through this year.

I think 3 of the members of the Backstreet Boys went by those names. -
(2026) - PG Dylan Mingo

I get the feeling that DeVries likes a bigger pg. Idk why. Small was physical, Branham fits that mold maybe. Kayden was my favorite pg in the class. I thought he was a leader and tough as nails. -
(2026) - Deron Rippey, Jr. to Duke

I've got a good feeling about this one. -

That's where you gotta go hard. The market for those two positions in the portal will only get slimmer. I really liked watching his older brother play. Imagine a backcourt of the Mingos and VJ Edgecome? They teach defense at that school. I think he's more of a two, but the best perimeter defender I the country. -
(2026) - PF Trey Thompson to Iowa

100% positive this staff wasn't the plan. I find it negligent and disrespectful to not be better prepared for day one on the job as IU Mens Basketball Coach. Atleast have someone that sit on a bench last year with you. I understand Murphy and Moikobu are friends and they jammed him, but tough shi7 that's on him. Someone that could pick up the phone and have connections to players would've been great to go into the portal. He had Frazier and Barnett build last years team. That's what your staff does. To not have one cost us a year. Moving forward, we'll compete on the recruiting trail. -
He starts on this team. He would be a difference maker this year. Add to our list of 6'5-6'7 shooters.

He wore L and XL???

Thank you for acknowledging my pain AH. I'm serious. I have a toothache that's killing me. My driverside eye tooth is a baby tooth and has finally cashed it in and I'm too tight to get it yanked and replaced. Had Devries just had a staff on time, my tooth wouldn't hurt. -
(2026) - PG Taylen Kinney to Kansas
BA47591 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Kinney or Jordan Smith? Ones a true pg but I think I'd let Smith play point and lead the team. He's wired different. No knock on Kinney.
