  1. I look forward to seeing the offensive creativity. I'd be a bit more excited if it was Tyler Harris from Washington. I question the athleticism with Josh. He would be a nice add at this stage of the process though.
  2. Kennard Davis to BYU. Now that's a money grab.
  3. I don't think we need anyone from last year's team touching any part of the new direction of the program, Luke Goode included.
  4. Any news on Stephen Payne III? I'm a fan of James Scott but haven't seen we're interested. Payne does have a nose for the oboards and defense.
  5. The enthusiasm and hope can't be reasoned with. That's what makes a great fan. I use video and pertinent statistics over sample size to project. In Baileys case his background is a thing. Well coached to a specific system that has a track record for building this type of big. He's the third in a row. He pops at first on the offensive end. He can do some Danny Wolf type things. Then you get to the other end of the floor and he's Magnus Pelkowski. So why is that? Will he be different at IU? Some of it is frame. Some of it is avoiding foul trouble because the offense ran through him and he played 33mpg. Scouting reports are iffy on him. I think he's between Tyler Wahl and Noah Waterman. In a positionless line-up of Bailey, DeVries, Dorn, Miles, Wilkerson where you get up and down and and impose tempo you might blow people out. But there's the grind it out side of the coin where Bailey may be the biggest bust in the portal.
  6. I can see the offense pretty clearly now. There are a number of things creatively that can be done defensively to keep us in the game. M2m we look a little short-handed though. I think Dorn and Miles have the makings of really good 3andD wings. The TT assistant we were rumored to be getting had a strong defensive pedigree that would come in handy.
  7. 9 players so fat. Right on schedule. Time to get a big or two. I think James Scott would work well
  8. We need a rebounding, paint/rim defending cuatro now.
  9. 2026-27 1-3 (Drake, Miles, Dorn) ?
  10. Miles and Dorn have future "system stars" written all over them. They shot in bulk last year and now with system generated quality shots, they should both shoot high 30's from three. It's Louisville year one.
  11. Shot blocking can be a bit overrated I think. We need a tandem of 5's that can give us a 40mpg stat line around: 15ppg/12rpg(4 offensive)60fg% 70ft% and play smart positional defense. Waterman and Scott were 13 and 10 combined and Louisville put 3 wings and Hepburn around that and won 27 games. Not the Big Ten but they had key injuries too. Bailey is more capable than Waterman, I think. Scott's in the portal and already knows the role, get him. If you can get Baba too? We'd be in great shape. When you're taken to the wood shed on the glass it's mostly effort and you lose. Goode-there are players like Dorn out there that didn't sit at a podium after a game with less than a year in a Hoosier uniform and "address" the fan base. There should be zero residue of that left in the locker room.
  12. The original list here is petty rock solid. Bellamy, Jeffries, Wilkerson, Oladipo, Reynolds would be a line-up that could defend Not sure we could shoot very well though.
  13. Your thoughts are on point. I dove into Louisvilles construction last year. Of Pope, May and Kelsey I think DD will most resemble Kelsey offensively. Looking at our adds, it backs that up quite a bit. It made me feel better when I saw Scott, Waterman and Pryor where his bigs then Pryor, more of a stretch 4, went down for the year early. They were a good team. Combined they were roughly 13ppg 10 rpg (over 3 offensive) and 1.3 blocks. Scott was the rim runner but with the barrage of 3s they put up there was a lot of long rebounds. Check out Elijah Price. Rs fr from Fresno State. He was a frosh at Drake, recruited by dd.
  14. I was going to add to this with something funny, then everyone with Miller in their name I thought of from Miller Kopp to dead country singer Roger Miller,,,,,then every person in history that's occupation was that of a Miller, came to mind, then I realized that they are all probably better defensive players than Bailey and it got sad. Wikipedia didn't have Roger Millers offensive rpg stats. He's been dead since 92' its probably pretty close.
  15. We're resembling Pat Kelseys approach from last year. Noah Waterman, James Scott and Pryor didn't blow ya away statistically and Pryor went down early in the season. Scott was really solid positionally. Bailey has more to offer than Waterman but down the stretch Louisville had wings and guards around Scott. If we had a Louisville year this year, I think we'd all be happy. It's the Big Ten not the ACC so we need a man or two to platoon at the 5.
  16. Can we call Baye Ndongo of Georgia Tech and offer him a load of money.
  17. He's been playing for 20 years.
  18. He'd be a fan favorite though. Is it possible that coaches know something we don't about the court case. It's a helluva gamble. Brzovic, Shefflin, Lampkin,,,any one of them would be a major get for us.
  19. Let's make a package deal of him and his team are Alex Chaikin.
  20. I'm concerned about the big man situation. I knew they would be at a premium nut right now I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that could be a late portal addition. DD aurelt has an idea of what he wants to do there. Defend the paint and rebound.
  21. Iowa got a good one today. Alvaro Folgueiras
  22. That sounds like Randi Trew.
  23. That dude is a game changer in the middle. A lot of people don't know he should've been a hs senior last year. As much as everyone blew Quaintence up as the center to get in the portal, I'd say they both are the same age and compare their stats. Thiam, Freeman, Curtis and Nyk Lewis, is my wish list. Add Miles to that and you would potentially have our 26-27 starting line-up in house this year.
  24. Curtis would be a great understudy to Bailey at the 4 getting some minutes at the 5.
  25. You still have Reneau syndrome brother. Bailey cannot play the 5 defensively. Not at any level. To quote one analyst "Bailey offers very little defensively, opponents feasted on him in the paint." Then you get into the numbers like opposition fg%, he might as well be putting the ball in the basket for them. He's slick offensively and has a huge assist rate though. Thiam would be the biggest get of the portal for us. He changes games defensively and on the glass.
