I'd like to see him be a successful recruiter. He's not had much experience there. I really hoped that GM Carr would be connected to euro agents and Adams would be the bag man. -

Om positive Adams was the lead on Bailey . DD has one thing he fd up this year. Staffing. Unfortunately that's the most important part of recruiting. -
I like to look at offensive rebounding with bigs. I caught one Fairfield game this year and freshmen Bramdon Benjamin went on my portal watch list. Yes it's Fairfield but 4.4 offensive rebounds a game. Tomislav Buljan is at 4.0. Both averaged double-doubles on minimal shots year one. Either would be great rotation pieces.

Karim Rtail Sounds affordable

He was my favorite PG in that senior class. He's a dawg defensively, a natural floor leader. Not much of a shooter. He and his brother could end up in the same place ultimately.

Any word on who the lead assistant is on this? This would be a great way to start off. Hope we get 3 or 4 visits this weekend. -

You have to pay big and get one to bite first. There has to be a couple quality pieces early to set the tone for talent to want to come. If we're sitting here in a week with our 6 current players, Olsen and a low major guard, hang it up. -
I would love to be able to click on a portal players name and see the agent or agency. Then click on that and see who else that agent represents. My hopes would be that GM Carr has the ability to create relationships at that level and a couple of times a year DD makes time to meet with them, similar to what Dusty started doing. This time around we have to create a blueprint to recruit to in the portal.

I looked back at last years Portal activity and Michigan had Mara a thin kid that had Baileys offensive rebound numbers and 9 starts in 2 years. He was lumped in with the rest of Cronins euro failures. Then there was Cadeau to replace Donaldson, didn't seem like much of an upgrade, and Morez who was am undersized public school 5 with a handful of starts his freshman year. He signed McKinney, who I thought was an undersized 3. He looked done. Then Yaxel. Then in the off-season it comes out he's playing all 3 bigs at once. I was a fan of Burnett but I didn't think that line-up was going to work. Mara wasn't strong enough to replicate Goldin. Where would Johnson fit in? Dusty can coach. He's set for the next 30 years.

I expect no less than Louisville, Kentucky and Michigan's first year. I think Dolson has expressed that or something similar. -
This kid is tough as nails. I'll take all 4 of the Tennesse players.

Markus Burton and Jalen Haralson from Notre Dame There's a belief that we will pay up for a couple of major conference established bigs. Something did just occur to me. Can DD coach a team with a lot of talent? He hasn't been an assistant or head coach with a lot of talent. During my meltdown when the hired him, he was in the Ncaa tourney 3 times as a hc and blew late leads on the opening round 3 times. I'm not looking that up, I'm relying on memory. I'm giving him a pass on year one. The staff and cash will get us top 5 in the conference talent and he'll respond accordingly. -
UCONN made this closer than it ever should've been. I'd like to see Mullins come back and develop physically a bit, get a little more consistent and take on the lead dog role next year.
-
Florida big Micah Handlogten. Someone's offered him a starting role and 2 mil.
-
Amsterdam is somewhere near Finland and Ognjen Srzentic is a heavily talked about wing from Serbia. Add Mikka and Srzentic to Sherrell and Burton this week DD you'll definitely have my attention. Nobody goes to Serbia for vacation. Amsterdam yes.

I think JJ might end up lost out there.
-
I've never seen him in person, but the 2 worst teammates recently that I did see up close were Anthony Thompson (all yours OSU) and Jasper Johnson. Jasper wasn't the complete @$$ Thompson turned into he just had a usage rate that went way unchecked.

Coach Cupps is a piece of work. I lived over there for many years.

I'm gonna guess with some level of sanity and probability our next years line-up. Estrella 2m Sherrell 3.5m Dorn 700k Haralson 2m Burton 2m There's probably 1.5 in the other 6 still on the roster. That's around 1 mil for a combo guard off the bench that can fill it up. Probably a mid major. I think Kavala will be a rotation piece, scared a bit of the durability of Burton in the Big Ten. -

I don't dislike it: Presuming we bring back last years 3 frosh and the incoming 3. + Dorn. We need 6 legit p4 players. I'd ask myself who has the relationship with Sherrells agent and who else does that person rep? That's interesting. Ill take your 2 bigs an Burton. But even though it looks like he's following Gainey to NCst I'm still fond of Boswell and I'll throw you a real reach with Rob Blackwell for a 2 big, 3 guard offense. That's one open spot. Big off the bench.....Scharnowski from Belmont. -

Yes and yes. I did appreciate Tucker changing his game up to more of a glue guy getting his hands dirty, but he was the poster child for the athletic difference between the MVC and p4.
