  1. Jim sounds like Champ Kind from Anchorman. He does great with post game stuff but with an open mic he's seconds from yelling "WHHHHAAAAMY!!!" He's a good dude though.
  2. This guy is a future lottery pick. Reminds me a bit of Bobby Portis at that age.
  3. Thiam at the 5, Baba at the 4 will be interesting. Which one would score more on Bailey?
  4. Looks like he's off to a good start this year.
  5. Staffing is important. We shall see.
  6. I'm getting into my initial scouting mindset for the year before the summer aau season kicks off. I like tough, salty defensive guys with chips on their shoulder. I wanna see: •Omari Scott 6'5" 190, plays all three perimeter spots, just transfered to Worcester Academy • Manny Green• Dylan Mingo I need to get out and see Adkins and Jordan Smith too.
  7. Bailey, DeVries, Goode, Dorn, Wilkerson. Run the halfcourt offense through Bailey and lead the nation in 3pt attempts. Use some token pressure to force the pace and drop into a 3/2 zone. We'll have to win in shootouts. We can't defend with these players. Go down the list. Conerway can play with Alexis when Bailey comes out. Then maybe some box/1. I mean we're assuming Wilkerson, Dorn and Miles can play infront of 17k regularly. I wonder what a full staff to start could've done?
  8. I think Leal and Goode were defending their coach and team. Nothing wrong with that. If the culture of the team hadn't worn the majority of us out, topped off by making so little of the talent, that Leal and Goode are at a post game presser.... The fact that DD is interested in both coming back isn't a great look. Neither entered the portal and both requesting waivers, Leal just recently. This roster smh
  9. Has DD encouraged them to pursue the waiver? For this to be a story he probably has, right? It's an explanation point to an "interesting " roster construction.
  10. Brad may be getting ready to go down the road Cronin did 2 years ago. I may be wrong. I'm struggling to see how this team fits together.
  11. What's the likelihood of this happening?
  12. Sounds good. Have you heard if we've tried to contact Bundalo?
  13. I stay positive by looking at what Louisville was able to do in the middle with Waterman and Scott. I think with this current roster, although I cringe thinking about it, Bailey in the same role he played at Davidson backed up by Alexis. Maybe 10mpg together. A split we should've seen the last two years but high post. 5 out stuff. Defensively I think a lot of 3-2 zone and box and triangle stuff. Our wings are big and Conerway is physical. I think Wilkerson is ready for prime time, but we need Miles and Sisley to contribute. Trent is a strong defender.
  14. Drive over and see the Kenny and Landon Lampley soon.
  15. Completely different staff. This one currently has no one on it with a defensive pedigree. I doubt much carries over from last years WVU team. With what we have, I'd play a lot of 3/2 zone and mix in box and 1, triangle and 2, match-up zone. The only place we have a really solid defender is at the point of attack.
  16. That's a great point. Our roster outside of Conerway doesn't have much of a defensive pedigree. It would be great if we had an assistant similar to Moikobu from Texas Tech, he had a strong track record with defensive construction.
  17. Do you think Rabby has inside scoop or is he just doing some math and speculation?
  18. We'll never know exactly what these players make. I asked last year, from someone that would know. Prior to Goode and James what the bill was. I doubt they'll tell me this year. On3 turned out to be really close. We had 1 millionaire on last year's team and he got death threats. Imagine what Claude would go through if he got a third of what's being batted about?
  19. We're the UK fans correct with the money they claimed we paid Wilkerson? We paid in the neighborhood of 1.5 for a coat rack? Did Tucker get 2m? We'll never know but damn are we over 10m already for a really good mvc team?
  20. I think he's a part of us being able to play a lot of positionless basketball 1-4.
  21. I look forward to seeing the offensive creativity. I'd be a bit more excited if it was Tyler Harris from Washington. I question the athleticism with Josh. He would be a nice add at this stage of the process though.
  22. Kennard Davis to BYU. Now that's a money grab.
  23. I don't think we need anyone from last year's team touching any part of the new direction of the program, Luke Goode included.
  24. Any news on Stephen Payne III? I'm a fan of James Scott but haven't seen we're interested. Payne does have a nose for the oboards and defense.
  25. The enthusiasm and hope can't be reasoned with. That's what makes a great fan. I use video and pertinent statistics over sample size to project. In Baileys case his background is a thing. Well coached to a specific system that has a track record for building this type of big. He's the third in a row. He pops at first on the offensive end. He can do some Danny Wolf type things. Then you get to the other end of the floor and he's Magnus Pelkowski. So why is that? Will he be different at IU? Some of it is frame. Some of it is avoiding foul trouble because the offense ran through him and he played 33mpg. Scouting reports are iffy on him. I think he's between Tyler Wahl and Noah Waterman. In a positionless line-up of Bailey, DeVries, Dorn, Miles, Wilkerson where you get up and down and and impose tempo you might blow people out. But there's the grind it out side of the coin where Bailey may be the biggest bust in the portal.
