    I’d be ecstatic about Beard, but that’s my point. If he’s the floor we should be very excited. I say this because this is a make or break hire and you know they’re not gonna “roll the dice”. We’re almost guaranteed to get a proven commodity. And of the proven commodities that we’d go after, all of them are top 10-15 type coaches.

    The reason I’m optimistic this go around is purely based on NIL. This didn’t exist when Woodson was first hired. Given we’re apparently top-5 for NIL, this is going to be a very desirable job. Doesn’t mean we get Stevens, but I think someone like Beard is the floor this go around and that’s so much better than Woodson.

    Would be more fun if it were a yes. I do think that in today’s game, with NIL basically being free agency, modern college programs need a GM so the coach can focus on coaching. Also helps to prevent the burn out we know exists with coaches and recruiting.

    They were yelling at each other at some point near the end of the game. The exact moment escapes me, I think it was after the Maryland 3.

    Enjoyed fans cheering/booing as Woodson tried to figure out who to put in the last possession. Guy was clueless.

    When I saw the way Woodson and the assistants celebrated it made me curious if they were told something like “if you lose the next 2 games we’ll have to let you go so we don’t have another scene like the Illinois game”.

    It’s one dude, just ignore his posts IMO. Most of us absolutely appreciate the tidbits people like yourself are bringing to this thread. It’s the only reason I read this thread atm.
