Listened to a bunch of podcasts today to get a vibe for what national people are saying. Two main things stood out - First, not a lot of faith that we’ll land one of the really big fish. Everyone talked about Stevens and it was split between making fun of us for even trying or saying, “hey, you at least need to make the call and make him say no.” But no one thinks we get him. Second, a pretty interesting factoid I heard (which seems directly counter to the current belief) was that Otzelberger actually had his buyout substantially LOWERED this past offseason. It went from like $15 million DOWN to $5 million. I think it was Goodman who said that on Field of 68, but don’t hold me to that…Anyway, if that is actually true that is awfully interesting.
