Ok… Tucker is overrated IMO.

MM was a lottery pick when he committed to IU this time last year. And it took him 3/4 of the year to not be a liability on the court. Tucker isn’t mentioned in any draft for any year and is a 180lbs 18 year old that can’t shoot the 3 and isn’t know to be a rebounder. What exactly are you expecting from him?

If Tucker starts, IU is in trouble. This class is really weak.

If IU gets 2 of Hickman, Rice, or Carlyle….they better get more mins than Tucker.

As Rabby and Eric said on HH podcast they just released. It's very hard to get guards and shooters to come play in this style of offense. It doesn't matter if you have lots of money to pay.
Also whenever you have to use name-calling to get your point across, you are usually the idiot.

But they didn’t play the same pace and Iowa averaged about 3.5 more 3 point attempts than iu. Also this past year was an anomaly for iowa. The other years perkins was there iowa was one of the more prolific 3 point shooting teams coming in somewhere around the top 1/3rd or top quarter of all teams in attempts per game. Most of those years they shot it really well too. So absent last year iowa, really is a team that plays at a fast pace and launches and makes a lot of 3’s. 
 
Perkins will have none of those in his favor at IU. 

Roach and Power is exactly what I hope IU lands instead of Perkins and whoever.

They had two capable 3 pt shooters and still shot 2-3 percent higher than us. We had one in Ware who averaged one 3 a game. There two best three point shooters averaged 10 3s a game while ours averaged 2 3s.  His shots will be more difficult with what we have compared to what he has had in the past.  Perkins isn’t a high volume three point shooter at 2 per game. You can’t put five guys on the floor who can’t shoot the three.  It’s a recipe for a disaster offensively.  

I find it hard to believe that Perkins is going to go somewhere to come off the bench. Same with Tucker. So, you have 4 of the 5 starter spots filled with a Perkins commit. I’m fine with this if the last spot is a shooter…backed up by a shooter… with a shooter backing up Perkins 

What is Iowa’s offensive efficiency the last 8 years? Going to bet it has way more to do with Fran than Perkins.
Take a look at what Perkins had around him at Iowa vs what he would have had at Indiana. You honestly think he puts up the same numbers?

Perkins also played within Fran’s system. I doubt Perkins sees those numbers in Woodson’s system. The defense is nice, but again, my concern is MM at the 3 and MR at the 4 on defense.

You just described a healthy X in your last paragraph. That’s not going to move the needle IMO.
The huge reason Iowa has been successful on the offensive end for almost 10 years is Fran’s system. I just don’t see much difference between X and Perkins in Woodson’s system. Teams are just going to pack the paint and instead of Cupps being wide open….it will be Perkins. Now, maybe Woodson changes his system? Ok…that might change things. But a line up of Perkins, Tucker, MM, MR, and a big might be a worse 3PT shooting team than this year. 
 

If there are 2 bigs standing in the paint, going to be hard to get anything for guards going downhill. Also, won’t the defense just pack the paint without a threat from deep? Haven’t we already tried this?

One that can shoot better than 29% from 3. Perkins is a healthy X…it will be a nice little pick up but a long way from solving the guard problem.

If he's visiting Indiana and Missouri I think that's pretty clear.
