Still want T. Moren to coach at IU…. not sure how it works but it has crossed my mind of her becoming a full time coach for USA basketball because of her involvement if that’s even a possibility as in full time unless it was changed into that.

In year 2 Josh Shertz St. Louis Billikens 16-1 for 2025-2026 season. Only 1 point loss at Stanford as of January 15, 2026.

IU Ladies need to retool again to be competitive….to play in top half of big ten. (8th place and above). IU Ladies need to retain the following players for 2016-2027: Current players: Makalusky, Caffey, Noyan, Beaumont, Socka Nguemenn needs a lot of help plus unsure where her ability (how good she is or may be (unknown)) and injury prone takes her. Use Z in double post or not sure about moving her to a power forward with high quality post player, Wiseman if she wants to stay (don’t expect anything from her), Stotijon (don’t expect anything) Incomming players: Jackson (don’t expect much as a freshman), Nyemcheck and Battle will play, James (don’t expect much) Transfer Portal: Lots of Money….and a 6’4” high level scorer and rebounder, and a 6’2” wing high level scorer and rebounder. TRANSFER PORTAL CANNOT BE USED TO JUST FILL ROSTER SPOTS AND HOPE FOR DEVELOPMENT BASED ON IMAGINARY POTENTIAL THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN. (players that play must be able to pass and handle ball kind of a given…and play some kind of defense….defense is important but a team has to score points rather than trying to hold teams to in the 60s almost every game. That’s a total of 13 players. Another reset or retooling back to back seasons…. is much needed because 2 very high quality players needed from transfer portal that will be starters capability on this team……every player will have to earn what there impact or role is on the team. (couple players not mentioned may or not stay since roster can have 15 players). If the above doesn’t happen don’t expect much more than what is happening because minus weak teams on schedule other teams including most big ten teams have maintained and or are leaving the IU Ladies basketball program in the dust.

2026 state of IU Ladies Basketball and a highly ranked 2026 recruiting class is a misnomer in that it’s going to get much better.…..unless a couple highly regarded players come in from transfer portal (not to just fill roster spots but are actually really really good physical scorers and shooters are recruited and choose to play for IU Ladies next year….to go along with current key players and 2026 recruits. (Bunches of money and a really good big needed from transfer portal and a high scoring really good wing needed). Current state of IU Ladies Basketball.

#1 INDIANA FOOTBALL 2025 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
TTT replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I am tired of not predicting enough points for IU about 80% of the time this football season. IU 52 a frustrated wore down Miami team 17 including a score during mop up time possibly aided by a ref no call for holding. -

For IU Ladies this would be a top get…..but can IU Ladies get? 5 stars at 97….is going to be stiff competition vs future legitimacy. -

Yes, and blocked punts. I thought two turnovers on an earlier post. However, upped the over and under to 4. -

Over/Under 4 Miami turnovers in this one. -

Time of possession: IU About 35:00-minutes Miami: About 25:00+minutes Skill and execution wins out over mistakes and mistakes execution (that Miami up to this point has gotten away with at times) in this one. And yes IU combination runs and pass will allow IU to pound that tired big ole ugly Miami defensive line as game wears on. -

IU defense pursuit to the ball, physical 50/50balls, getting 2 turnovers, running game-passing game combinations, catch me if you can = IU covers the point spread by a lot. Betting opened @ +7.5 IU has moved Jan 12 to +8.5. -
2025: Regular Season 12-0 and Big Ten Conference Championship 13-0. 2026: College Playoff 3-0 and National Championship 2025-2026: 16-0 PROVE THAT WRONG.

Makalusky is going to be a key IU Lady piece of the future puzzle. -

Nyemchek, Battle, and Jackson as freshman (they are good but not that good) will get bullied in big ten level without a couple bigger time impact players from transfer portal to compliment what is already on IU Ladies roster including keeping key players already on roster. -

Out of gas lacking team stamina second half. Last year excuse was Beaumont loss that was in the plans. At big ten level Beaumont is ok but lacks physicality and strength to be a go to type player consistently. -

Maybe, M&M needs to stand straight up and down, breathe so slightly, and not move at all. She is getting picked on by refs like Parrish often did. What do refs have against IU Ladies from Fishers? -

IU Ladies need to have Z stay on the floor and be injury free….along with her teammates at end of game. -

Not much to look forward to but maybe a win on January 25….IU vs Purdue Ladies win streak of 13 consecutive wins to continue to 14 in jeopardy. -

Building more self sufficient more self reliant team philosophy; develop player leadership because players are involved in timeouts as well, coaches carry over practice responsibilities into games…. Assume coaches do this on a continuum meaning to some head coaches do this minimally and maybe some hardly at all…to some head coaches do it a lot. It seems there would be some variables involved…..though I have observed this in her coaching in past years almost since beginning at IU, actually, -
