  1. Thanks for the play of E. Noyan….has improved lately and held her own and played well today.
  2. 3rd quarter nah. It can be 3rd quarter any or all quarters or combination of all quarters for IU Ladies downfall this year. However, if IU Ladies can keep the score in the 50’s or 60’s they have a chance to win this season. (1960’s basketball). Most coaches focus on defense but got to have plays and players that score points….bunches of points.
  3. Considering NIL….Could IU beat the best intramural college basketball team in the country? Physically, iU looking intramuralish vs Purdue tonight.
  4. In July, 2025 my prediction was based on IU lost to two teams in 2025. Both teams played in national championship game. ND vs OSU. So with roster and additions and coaching staff….and looking at schedule…. Conclusion would it be unfortunate or fortunate luck with combination of Earned luck COACHING AND MAKING PLAYS 2025 IU had a (50/50) 50% chance of going 12-0 regular season. No prediction for 2026 regular season.
  5. St Louis Bilikins/Josh Schertz 24-1 (1 point loss at Stanford couple months ago)…..Ranked 18
  6. Average attendance for women basketball this season for UCLA around 5500. In marquee games (11,000 maybe). Arena holds 13,800. Let’s go to the beach and great weather and recruits must love that atmosphere. UCLA has never been overly strong in attendance for women basketball.
  7. If the stars aligned for 2026-2027 Starters: depending on which player/s come from transfer portal and return of Maya and Nevaeh. A rotation involving these players. Sara Okeke (sub: Z, Noyan, Jackson Addy Nyemchek (sub Beaumont Z (start with Okeke(sub unknown depending on circumstances Maya Makalusky (sub Beaumont Nevaeh Caffey (sub Battle Another scorer/shooter top player from transfer portal guard. *subject to transfer portal addition/s and players above are added and returnees. Players not mentioned are nonfactors. It’s time to put the injury excuse year after year behind (which has become a pattern in the last five or six years) whether long term or temporary injury. IU Ladies have to beef up both, physically and talent wise if significant winning success as in competing at a high level is going to be achieved. 25+ win seasons vs. losing seasons or struggling to win 15 to 20 games and that is with a weak preseason/pre big ten schedule.
  8. What do you do when your not good enough? Foul. Sara Okeke: Starting center job opening.
  9. IU Ladies….NIL….Makalusky….make sure she doesn’t get poached in transfer portal….. (don’t/stop being training ground for other programs….don’t become a farm program) (this loss and most other losses this season are a result of the loss of probably 3 key players to transfer portal from last year’s roster and not getting replacement players of that same impact/quality in transfer portal plus dealing with injuries which seem to be year to year especially in recent years (as many teams have an injury issue)…. that’s the challenge of a thin talented roster…high quality depth to go along with star power is needed.
  10. I don’t think Zoe Jackson from Australia is red shirting. Rather, she is an early enrollee January 2026 semester for training to start playing at the start of the 2026-2027 season. Early enrollee to train with the team does not use up redshirt if needed in the future.
  11. Former IU lady players who transferred seem to be having success does not mean they would be having big ten success….. Julianna LaMendola in recent games scored 19 and 26 points. 2025-26 averages playing 26.5 minutes per game: 11 ppg. 6.4 rebs. 43.8 fg%. 81.8 ft% TOs 2.5
  12. Doesn’t seem like it would be much fun coaching Tennessee women basketball…that honey moon seems to be over quickly…..probably true for most programs where legends once coached.
  13. Sure IU Ladies are addressing this issue….it’s very obvious ….And G.B. teammate is possibility…..and / or whoever/s…..To be on championship level.
  14. The answer: Yes!
  15. IU Ladies put their best foot forward for the future….as in recruiting. Pressure: IU Ladies Motivation: Both, IU Ladies and Purdue Ladies.
  16. Perspective: Mississippi State Ladies down by over 30 to South Carolina Ladies. TV Commentator: Referring to South Carolina “they have 8 MacDonald All Americans” 2026 IU Ladies out of high school getting their first MacDonald’s AllAmerican. ….though before 2026 IU Ladies had some transfers and MacDonald All American nominees.
  17. And the leading rebounder on the floor SHAY CIEZK @ 9. to go with her 31 points.
  18. 2018 NIT IU Ladies Champs (all home games) Buss and Cahill and the IU Ladies accelerated what was already somewhat of an upswing Ladies basketball program into unseen success for IU Ladies basketball for the next several years. Don’t necessarily see it happening but I agree. Great to see Caffey having scoring success…if Caffey, Maya, Beaumont, Shay all score well in the same game with Noyan and others chipping in. (Z)?
  19. A not very good team road win over a not very good team at their place. Karoline Stripline really helped last year’s team….helped them get to/save a 20 win season though 20 wins is not that impressive in today’s game.
  20. A not very good IU Ladies win over a not very good Wisky Ladies = a not very good IU Ladies team even though a road win at Wisky Ladies is the best win of the season for the not very good IU Ladies.
  21. This is a good solid class. Verdict is out on how good. However, it’s going to take serious transfer portal help to seriously turn this program into championship contention if that’s the expectation. (one wildcard is Zoe Jackson….is she good or another project type player? And the other Z is neutralized because not being able to stay on the court. Both, Kentucky and Tennessee have 3 Mac All Americans in their 2026 classes…and in recent years IU before the current state of things won each of their games vs both programs.
  22. Some perspective: college Ladies basketball programs with number of players on the McDonalds All American team. 2026… Texas 3 Kentucky. 3 Duke. 2 N D 2 USC 1 UCONN. 1 LSU. 1 Tennessee. 1 Michigan State. 1 Vanderbilt. 1 N. C. 1 Nebraska. 1 Kansas. 1 Clmson. 1 IU. 1 which is first ever (some nominees but first to make team)….all this time and only 1 actual MacDonald’s All American. then there are a few programs who thrive with the McDonalds All Americans or equivalent type players.
