From a current player's standpoint, I can see some of them having a "Holy $__t" moment, because with the possible exception of Trayce, everybody is starting from ground zero for playing time. You have to earn it. From a transfer player's standpoint, he's coming in on a level playing field to earn minutes. He's not automatically going to be #6-8 on the depth chart and hope to move up. He has an equal chance to start as anybody else. I like it !

Could be, but it should be much easier to recruit transfers who have already had a taste of CBB. Especially those that have NBA aspirations.

THIS was the biggest head line to me from TJD's announcement. Woody will develop players, even if he has to do it himself. Assistants are good at development, but when you're an All American, it shows the commitment of Woody to make him NBA ready, but more importantly IU strong!

Just watched Fisch's interview. CMW wants TJD back because "I think I can help him become more polished for the next level". Also said he has to develop his right hand. Pretty bold statement at this point in time IMO, but it is the truth...

And I'm going to give him more than 2-3 years before I even remotely get antsy if things don't start out well for him. Cause I know in the long run we'll get back to an upper tier, maybe even elite status again. (I doubt if we have to wait nearly that long. I say year 2 we'll be competing for Big Ten title)

Not saying you're wrong at all, but the clothing industry changes every 3-6 months. Deciding on uniforms years in advance is really surprising to me. Anyway, back to Coach Woody !

No first hand knowledge, but having had a stint in the clothing industry, I would suspect that Adidas has designers on staff that come up with several prototypes (like auto guys have concept cars) and run them by the schools for approval. Not sure what IU's approval process is, but one would think the players would have some type of input. (maybe not major, but some)
