Amazing how everyone turned on Woody overnight.

And just reading the tea leaves I'm confident Dolson has his guy. He wouldn't go to war like this if he didn't have a sure fire plan to fix this mess. This is not Brad Stevens all over again.

And the timing of the article. This is not organic. Clearly Dolson wants to make a move.

Let's all hope tomorrow goes something like this .

Only a $1M a year? That sounds very doable.

Buckner's term ends next year and then he's gone. Dolson could be the AD for another 15 years. If they have a difference of opinion and they clearly do it's obvious who should win out. Certainly not the guy who is gone next year.

It's why I told everyone Pat Kraft needed to be the AD. He wouldn't tolerate this nonsense from Quinn. You can't have Quinn Buckner's ****** running the AD.

Same reason Cora Breckenridge had so much power back in 2001 and why we were forced to keep Mike Davis. The others are afraid of any push back and mostly of what they might be called. Similar to how we got Sampson and not Beilein. Sucks.

I do wonder about Pearl's politics and how it will mesh with the IU administration. The guy retweeted Katie Britt and Charlie Kirk in the last week lol. And that's the last I'll say on that mods but check out his Twitter page sometime. The IU fan base will love him though.

Anytime someone uses the words "done deal" regarding an IU basketball coaching search you can bet the farm that the absolute worst will happen. I'm anticipating a lifetime contract for Woody and that he'll coach into his 80s. Only slightly joking.

The worry for me is Mike knows this is it. Resigned to his fate and will retire gracefully. However, we close out the season with a few meaningless wins and Mike's massive ego starts cooking. He thinks "I got this" and refuses to go. Quinn and the BOT insist on one more year. Next season is a complete disaster, Mike is finally canned, and the big Dawgs are all long hone. This is the Indiana way. Pretty convinced it will happen.

I don't see anyway they fire him. There's been a major narrative shift on Twitter. Everyone coming over to say how great Woody is. They hate IU because of Knight and are terrified we'd finally make a good hire.

Beard is never happening. Everyone should just drop that. Focus on Pearl like a lazor beam. I agree with you that I'd probably take Collins over Dusty as the backup candidate. Just feels like a safer hire and I really believe he'd do well here.
