I thought so too. But he acted like his legendary coach way too early. He had to earn his own right. What I don't under stand for the life of me is he played in RMK's early years, and Woody experinced first hand RMK's intense coaching and never-ending preparations. Woody knew what it takes to win it all at D1 level, but did he think he can pull it off by working so much less than RMK?

You know sometimes you won't know a person's true color until you put him on a highly important position. Some people seem to be humble and down to earth simply because they're insecure due to lack of success. Woodson is a good example. He hadn't been successful in NBA coaching circle, and for good reasons. But once he became arguably the most important figure in Bloomington, we all got to see who he really was when given power.

At least they're famous. And honestly I think they're smarter than Woody.

Season is long and IU can't fire this lame duck coach fast enough. I'm getting beyond tired listening to his BS post game pressers. We're going to lose a ton of games so it's only gonna get worse.

Woody had some good players who helped win games. That's how he got an extension and a raise. So he did get a credit for his good players.

I don't believe Woodson can do that. At this point in his career, he's too old and stubborn to do so. Either he doesn't know how to effectively and efficiently run smallball OR he probably can't run it consistently. When he's in trouble, he'd revert back to old basketball. I think when he was hired he said he'd put great emphasis on the perimeter game. In his 4th year, we still haven't seen that.

All these God awful embarrassing losses for how much NIL money? Woody was lucky to have IU's NIL budget to buy mercenaries in the free agency market after missing all high school recruits. And the same thing will continue in the next off season since the coaching staff missed everyone except Sisley. Woody experiment is coming to an end.

That's the biggest fear that I have. Or even if he can fill out the roster, all we got is a bunch of lesser talented kids that don't fit well for whatever he's trying to do. I also fear that Ware, Mbako, and Reneau would all leave.

In a lot of our down years, player like Hulls was the exact type of player that we missed. We need someone like him every year. It's ironic 'Indiana' University has been unsuccessful for quite a while to bring in 'Indiana' shooters.
