  1. It's a new team. They're young. They need to learn to play together. Mike Woodson can't hit shots for them. It's not Mike Woodson's job to get shooters shots. Mike Woodson isn't going to talk about the over helping on defense leaving 3-point shooters wide open, he just isn't.
  2. Probably Big Ten games.
  3. I don't know how often they're updated but I'm guessing additions to other teams since the last update. I'm sure the fans of schools like Rutgers, Penn State, and Northwestern are glad we kept him.
  4. I just saw that this "All Star" team isn't thought that highly of by the computers. Torvik has them at #31 after they dropped a few days ago from 23. For reference, the summer before TJD's senior season Torvik had them at 11 or 12. Last year's team was ranked about the same as this one. With Woodson as the coach, that doesn't fill me with confidence.
  5. People like winners. Yes, the way to unite the fanbase (as much as is possible) is to win. If a coach doesn't win, the fan base won't be united regardless of how charismatic he might be. Even a coach who loses a lot wouldn't unite the fanbase against him since there are plenty who would still defend him and say he just needs more time.
  6. Outside of McCracken and Knight, IU has been pretty bad at hiring coaches. So Woodson is better than Miller, Crean, Dakich, and Davis? That's not exactly a statement of excellence.
  7. Johansen is the US head coach for the 4th Olympics in a row. Quite impressive but not surprising seeing how many great divers he's had at IU. https://swimswam.com/usa-diving-names-coaching-staff-for-paris-2024-olympic-games/
  8. As @Hoosierfan2017 said, 25 wins should be the floor. They should be in the mix for the Big Ten championship and make it to the 2nd weekend of the NCAA. Since that team lost by double digits in 8 of their 12 losses (66.7%), getting blown out less should also happen. Less than that would be very disappointing. Even when he had a decent roster with an AA big man and a first round lottery pick point guard, it was only a so-so year. Good compared to recent history but far from a great year.
  9. Another day, another NCAA lawsuit. https://www.wibw.com/2024/07/04/ex-kansas-stars-chalmers-collins-file-class-action-lawsuit-vs-ncaa-others-over-march-madness/
  10. So you're no longer an IU fan? Still judgmental as hell, I see. BTW, are you one of those fans (ex-fan from what you said here, I guess) that never stepped foot on the Bloomington campus? As for this thread, this is where people can come to post displeasure with Woodson rather than doing it in all threads. He's still the coach of IU for at least another year, but that doesn't mean he's gotten any better at coaching.
  11. It's been a rough 27 years for IU fans. I'm kind of surprised IU is that high nationally though. Top 25 isn't too bad, I guess. https://www.insidethehall.com/2024/07/02/heres-how-every-big-ten-program-stacks-up-in-kenpom-since-1997/
  12. This is me when someone mentions Stevens as a possible candidate for IU:
  13. I can't imagine why he'd want to leave this behind. He'll be missing out.
  14. IU already has its alumnus coach. That isn't working out well. We don't have a Roy Williams out there, although May may become that but IU might have missed the boat on that one in favor of keeping this current disaster going another year. In general, I agree with you about absolutes like "never" but in this case I'm comfortable with it.
  15. Brad Stevens will never be IU's coach. If he leaves Boston, he'll end up somewhere else in the NBA.
  16. Typing in that address redirects to this one: https://tenor.com/view/mike-woodson-dissapointed-no-nope-colombia-gif-15736200
  17. Can he actually receive the scholarship part of that? I know there used to be some restrictions on academic scholarships for athletes. I'm not sure if those restrictions are still there or if they included scholarships that weren't through the schools.
  18. Soon to be followed by a "it was better in the '80s" post.
  19. Remember that if you want to talk to Mike Woodson, you come to Mike Woodson. He's also apparently added that if Mike Woodson wants to talk to you, you come to Mike Woodson. So all of what you said except in the place of Mike Woodson's choosing, not LA.
  20. Dude. This what not an employer/employee nor a romantic relationship. It was the type of relationship where this didn't have to be handled in person, a zoom meeting would have sufficed. Again, it was a power play so that Woodson could sit there and ***** and moan at him about his hurt feelings.
  21. If Colorado is a serious contender then IU should have a chance.
  22. HH are NOT employees of IU or Woodson despite what Woodson and, apparently, you seem to believe. Making him come to Bloomington for this to happen was a power play Woodson used to to stroke his own ego.
