  1. If they can use that chain during the game they might have a chance simply by injuring all of the Michigan players. Other than that...not really.
  2. https://themessenger.com/sports/mens-college-basketball-2023-ncaa-top-freshmen Mackenzie Mgbako, 6-foot-8, 217 lbs., F, Indiana — Two years ago, I thought he was the No. 1 player in the class. Initially, he was slated to go to Duke but wound up in Bloomington. He’s a combo forward who has a versatile offensive game, and Mike Woodson will need him to be able to shoot it from long distance this season.
  3. If Trilly Donovan is right about the Boogie commitment on the 16th (and if the IU fans are interpreting his posts correctly), it could be a huge couple of days for IU. Or a very disappointing couple of days. Either way, less than a week until we know.
  4. I haven't seen anything about the Pro Day yet. That's kind of concerning since I'm pretty sure we saw several people reacting positively to TJD and JHS the same day as their Pro Day last year
  5. Between this and Allen's contract, it shows that IU might actually be ready to start spending money on football. Allen's contract shows they don't pick the right people to spend that money on, though. TBD with Carey's contract. Now if they'd just be willing to spend money on the ridiculous Allen buyout after this season and then have a real coaching search... won't happen but one can dream.
  6. Stranger Things is set in Indiana but I don't think it's actually filmed in Indiana... Pedantic distinction, I know.
  7. Good question. Maybe the secret twin of Liam who IU is also recruiting?

  10. I would also note that those crystal ball picks were made back in February. A lot can happen in 8 months and IU has really been working hard on his recruitment over the summer and fall. While those picks may ultimately end up being correct, they didn't really know anything when they made them and other schools do have a legit chance at landing Queen so I wouldn't put any stock into them at all. That said, it is still thought that Maryland is the team to beat here.
  11. I forgot about the surgery but now that you mention it, yes, I thought it was bs at the time since even when he was available he wasn't getting much PT. It looks like he would've been better of staying at IU even if he didn't play basketball because the rest of his school would've still been paid for. I hope it all works out for him.
  12. It seemed like he was pretty often unavailable for games while at IU due to illness. A few times each season for a a couple of games each time. But maybe I'm remembering it incorrectly.
  13. IU is now being considered again? I don't think he'll end up at IU.
  14. If they don't get all 3, it certainly won't be due to lack of effort.
  15. I guess IU still has #1 in not winning.
  16. Man, IU can't even be first in this. smh
  17. This article talks about it a bit: https://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article279252244.html KU men’s basketball players Johnny Furphy and Elmarko Jackson are listed on the incident report as witnesses. KU basketball’s Nick Timberlake is also listed, under “other.” A witness can be someone who “saw or heard the crime take place or may have important information about the crime or the defendant,” according to a U.S. Department of Justice definition. A source with knowledge of the situation said the men’s basketball players listed as witnesses or “other” on the incident report were interviewed after the fact and “not involved in the incident at all. They are not under investigation or anything like that remotely.” Two additional witnesses who are not men’s basketball players are also listed. A witness listing does not necessarily mean that person was present when an alleged crime was committed.
  18. It could be many things. It could just be for establishing locations and/or timelines of the people involved. Maybe they were with either one before, saw either of them before or after, talked to either, etc. I don't know the details but here is an example: Let's say there was a party or at a bar with the woman, the rapist and the witnesses all there. The witnesses may just be for establishing timelines. Maybe one saw the woman leave at 1 AM alone and another saw the rapist leave at about the same time heading in the direction of where the rape happened. Maybe another saw him hitting on her earlier in the night and getting shot down. All of the people who saw that would be witnesses but none would have witnessed the act nor necessarily have reason to believe that it was about to happen. Maybe one of the players talked to the rapist the next day and was told something alone the lines of "yeah, I got some last night" without having any other knowledge of the situation. Lots of ways to be a witness without being involved or having direct knowledge of what happened or even reason to suspect it. Or they could have seen what you said. My point is that being considered a witness doesn't equal involvement.
  19. Being named a witness doesn't mean they actually saw it happen nor that they knew about it (could've stopped it).
  20. I believe that IU broadcasting it at that event would be a recruiting violation. They're not allowed to talk about him specifically (and I think broadcasting his announcement at HH would fall under that umbrella) until after he signs.
  21. My bad. I thought that was added in as part of the extension which was Dolson's work f-up.
  22. Big 2025 commitment. Top breaststroker in his class in both the 100 and 200. https://swimswam.com/no-9-recruit-josh-bey-commits-to-indiana-for-2025-brightens-future-for-breaststroke-u/
