  1. Yes. Screw every B1G team that's not IU. F**k 'em all.
  2. I agree. In a zone the 3-point shooters wouldn't be any more open than they already are. So at worst it's just as (in)effective as the man-to-man.
  3. True. He decided to come back to college this year so his NIL money must be as good as our better than overseas professional money so there's a real possibility he'll be back next season.
  4. Edey has his COVID year if he wants to use it so there is a chance he could be at PU again. I don't see him as any more likely to get drafted after this season than last season.
  5. I see improvement. lol
  6. That's 18 in one game. IU has taken 24 total this season, so 18 would be a 50% increase from the average of 12 per game. That would be an improvement.
  7. For arguments sake, let's say you're right about his limits. The list is long in both basketball and football (since you brought up NFL/WR above) of players who weren't the most physically gifted but who were still able to excel due to hard work, determination, grit, and understanding of the game. It's too early to say he's not one of these and, if anything, I would say the early evidence points more towards him being one than not. But it's veeeeery early in college career so maybe wait and see before writing him off. Or not. But you're not going to get many agreeing with you on here so it really looks like you're just wanting to argue with people.
  8. These kind of stories will help Dolson justify not firing Allen at the end of the season. https://hoosierillustrated.com/the-brendan-sorsby-rod-carey-duo-and-gradual-improvement-provides-glimmer-of-hope-in-otherwise-difficult-indiana-football-season/?fbclid=IwAR1bGrxXe-_zvlL4PbAPz_V4H-FVPQ_UI4bNN2xf--B8YZFIV5ftuLN0_Mc
  9. 1) I agree. They're not that bad but it's also a bit early to go by KenPom. 2) Why are you comparing this team to Crean's first two years? Both of those teams were terrible so them losing to bad teams wasn't surprising. To me it seems like it would be to point out when teams that were actually good struggled or lost against bad teams early in the year.
  10. psssh, what does Calbert Cheaney know? He only has the most points scored in B1G history while playing under one of the best coaches ever, spent a over a decade playing in the NBA, has been an assistance coach at both the NBA and NCAA levels, and is currently part of the staff that sees the players practice every day. So why should we listen to what he says? As an anonymous poster on the internet who never even played on my HS team, I think we should ignore what he says and instead freak out after 2 games.
  11. I saw the women's soccer team lost to a U15 boys team. I don't know about the basketball team.
  12. I have seen fans gush over him. I haven't seen anyone compare him to IT or even put him in the same stratosphere as IT. If you had said Alford (he was not a PG and I haven't seen that comparison, but whatever), Hulls, Coverdale, or a bunch of other guys I wouldn't have even said anything but you went all the way up to IT. When teams are underperforming, fans always look to the bench and cry for some of them to get more PT and/or start. In football, that is often the QB position and for basketball it's often its version of the QB which is, of course, the PG. Of of the reasons people like him is because he hustles. The team seems to be lacking some of that so far this year.
  13. Hyperbole much? I don't see anyone saying that Cupps is the next coming of Isiah. Nor have I seen that for any other white kid. It's also kind of weird thing to say since Isiah is black. Please show me where anyone is comparing him to one of the best Hoosiers ever and an NBA Hall of Famer?
  14. That's what is common of all the schools on there: they try. IU doesn't so I'm still skeptical they'll fire Allen after the season to not just join that list but jump in at 3rd. Allen needs to go but I guess we'll see if IU actually cans him.
  15. I think you forgot about the perimeter defense.
  16. It's true though. Serious issues.
  17. Yeah, low volume. They shot decent percentage from there but just didn't take many.
  18. IU is going to win. The reason with was so close was due to 2 things: turnovers and 3-point defense. Edit: also lack of rebounding vs an undersized team.
  19. Can none of the players tell the difference between white and black? They keep throwing it directly to Army.
  20. This team has terrible perimeter defense and then if the the shot misses they're also bad at rebounding. That's not a good combination.
  21. This is only the second game and it's already a long season. They look really bad this game.
  22. IU is making Army look underrated. They aren't.
