  1. UK - More amused, because Cal is still too scared to play at IU. Chicken. PU - Looking forward to renewed rivalry, now that we have a real coach again. Started with the W. Respect? Nahh. MSU - Do respect the coaching, but can't stand the man - Izzo, whiney little B, no ethics, turns the cheek to rules/criminal conduct because it helps him win. OSU. Who? Illini - yup. And a shout out to old Mile/Ken from HSN (RIP), who hated the Illini above all others. Wisc - Hate them. Hate their moronic fans. Time to get back to beating them, regularly.
  2. Yeah see I disagree here. We're watching Al now as a strong part of a very successful Prov team. When he was here he was relentlessly downplayed and criticized. He's not the 'guy,' not the guy who should be the primary scorer leading IU, but he is a starter who contributes on a high level, was here and is there. Good for him.
  3. He was under appreciated here.
  4. Generally agree but it doesn't help to be missing Rob, hard to continue to get better without one of two primary point guards. That said I am optimistically thinking we go 5-4. I won't be thrilled if we go 4-5, but if we can -- please -- just finally take care of Wisc at home, within either 4-5 or 5-4, I'd be fine with that. I can't stand, hate, am disgusted with, really annoyed with, Wisc.
  5. With the next game a likely matchup in the bracket with Duke. Now that would be fun.
  6. Geronimo and TJD say hello. Geronimo 2 in both games, TJD 4 and 1. No one else more than 1. (Others with 1 block each: Race, Galloway, Bates, X, Kopp (!)) Geronimo is a blocking machine, per minute.
  7. 22 votes in this week's AP poll. Win against the Illini and probably ranked, win against the Illini and @NWU and definitely ranked next week.
  8. Thank you Chuck, you are an indelible part of many, many good memories of IU basketball. You will be missed, and never forgotten.
  9. Yes but both are juniors -- Stewart a R-Jr and Kopp a Jr on eligibilty. I have no insight on whether they're ready to move on from college. But they're in a good place...
  10. Seems at best unlikely that Logan would transfer. He didn't come in expecting to play real minutes, just a frosh behind stud vets And don't really see Stewart either. Starts every game, our primary outside threat. Minutes going down (as they should, either for him or Kopp) with more floor time for Galloway, but he was brought in after losing his father and this is already his third program, and he is a significant player under Woodson, in a program clearly on the rise. Really same points for Kopp. These guys are not unhappy, and have no reason to be.
  11. ^^ Remaining 9 Conf is a tough stretch, how we finish is going to determine where we end up (captain obvious point), if we can start that run with a W over Illinois it will go a long way to helping us out. - Illinois - @ NWU - @ MSU - Wisconsin (please slam these clowns) - @ OSU - MD @ Minn - Rutgers - @PU I am optimistically thinking 5-4, but if we just win out at home that's 4-5 for an overall record of 11-9, and I would think that would be good for a 7 seed or better. The games against Illinois and Wisc are big.
  12. I actually watched the game with friends at the Student Union, was on top of a table when The Shot went in — ran straight to the Fountain and it was already packed, people in trees, what a blast. Really hope the students and recent grads get to experience that, sometime soon, nothing else like it!
  13. I was there as a junior, Showalter was amazing, couldn’t see pavement or grass all the way to the Union, and I might’ve taken that fish….
  14. I hate Wiscy with a capital H. It’s time we get back to beating them.
  15. What’s really cool is that you were able to get high fives while they were walking sideways vertically!
  16. Yup. But our guys, under Woodson, are capable. That should be a really good game
  17. I’d say no after the L to M but we’re close now
  18. Also finished at 10’s — team has continued to improve on taking care of the ball and that’s a good part of the W’s
  19. So we’re giving up the blowout W — but we’re still gonna close it out with a strong W on the road and well over the spread. Nice W, not let up after stomping PSU
