I’m talking about the type of defensive movement we did see against Marion. It doesn’t matter if Marion stinks, it’s how they were playing D, the score was some reflection of that but not the point.

Highly doubt we’re 100 plus defensive efficiency. DeVries needs to continue to improve the roster but they’re already showing defensive awareness, energy, switching, extension to perimeter and rotation. Aint going to be great out of the gate with current roster but the reason to expect continued growth is there

But biased or not both those gals are dynamic players, definitely worth considering on that list imo

I like it. Dorn is something of a wild card imo. From the Marion game, the defensive rotations, switches and extensions to perimeter looked pretty good. Marion isn’t good, but at one point it was something like 31-4. That was a result of energetic D. And the shooting was without our best shooter finding his touch. Wilkerson is going to light up teams. it is absolutely going to be fun to watch, and based on the effort and communication I saw I expect our D to improve and adjust during the season. Imagine that, actual adjustments. So looking forward to watching this team grow

And yet Moren still got the team to 20 W’s last season, and including some locker room issues. Do think it’s going to take some growth for another 20 W season, like all the past decade in a row, but believe we’ll see coaching adjust to the pieces, again, and these pieces adjust to the coaching better. New recruiting off to a good start, and the direction is continuing to get bigger and more athletic, and with that will come deeper runs

People just continue to underestimate Moren. Personally, I find it comical. She’s an outstanding coach. Her team is now faster and more athletic. There’s going to be some growing pains as she and the team adjust, and then the team will rise under her coaching. Let the Debbie Doubters keep at it. That’s all just fuel

Money is the main driver imo. It is what it is. And that's life. I just lost my best young associate here, she was a key rising attorney on her way to partnership at my firm, but Big Law came calling and she's gone for more money. i hate it, but I can't really blame her. Would be interested to know what the money difference was here.

You're driving yourself crazy focusing on early exhibition play and simply ignoring his demonstrated DI history of outstanding 3-point shooting on high volume. You have every right to drive yourself crazy, but doing so ignoring what the guy has done consistently as a shooter? No idea why, but have at it.

Have to say I haven’t really been buying into the hype because I haven’t seen him against a goid college ball club yet, but his game looks well ahead of what I expected at this point, solid, confident, poised for a frosh, and ready to score. A lot to like for sure

Besides the return to actual shooting w/spread offense, actions and movement on and off ball — 27 assists to 10 TO’s. Actual basketball again. I don’t care how weak Marion is, that’s not the point, it’s basketball again. So glad you’re gone Woodson

He’s just saying DeVries and staff will have to grind — and they will in year 1. He came into the trash pile that Woodson left, and built what looks like a pretty solid team, but obviously that’s in short order and the objective is to bring in elite players in recruiting and the portal. that’s not pre-NIL thinking, it’s immediate post-Woodson thinking. Woodson and Buckner f’d up the program. I’m not one who buys into the we-should-be-immediately-elite just because there’s NIL. It’s a complete re-build, every player. Perfectly “realistic@ to think it’ll take a couple years or so
