  1. His statistical ego is too big for his pants
  2. FiRe CoAcH mIkE wOoDsOn
  3. When Fife left, he warned Howard and Walsh. Looks like Howard tested CMW and lost. How long before Walsh bolts?
  4. Belief amongst the staff. If it’s truly a political disbelief between Howard and CMW then screw CMW and his statistical ego. I am over CMW. Its his way or the highway
  5. I can confirm some differences of opinions related to politics between Fife and CMW that contributed some to his parting. More than just that but still.
  6. I would say quite possible. No intel currently outside of what Dane has told me in the past.
  7. Hmm first Dane and Adam, I’m starting to see a trend. Did Adam do something illegal?
  8. so South Carolina lost a "buy" game last night lol we see them at AH here soon lol
  9. I am a firm believer that if Myles Turner wore a Dallas Mavericks jersey he'd be a top 25 player YoY. Dude just balls out every year in his hometown/state lol
  10. Newton expected to play tonight barring any last minute changes
  11. those of you that have season tickets for this year's team, are the physical tickets plain and simple like Ticketmaster or StubHub would have issued in the past? or are they customized/decorated/designed specifically for IU? Also, does the same rule apply to the ticket design for physical football tickets?
  12. it would pique my interest more if I did not see an American Airlines Flight Ad every time I open the page :p
  13. any idea on when the home games will be yet?
  14. If Rice continues to Ascend like I think he will, Rice may only be a Hoosier for 1 year. With us not currently the leader for Brown Jr, some significant PT would be available at the guard position next to Kanaan, Cupps and maybe Netwon(Health pending). Of course, CMW LOVES the portal so i could see us bringing in a veteran type of guard via the portal
  15. Several of Julians current high school teammates will be with him at the Michigan game per Steve Wiltfong. Not sure if it was previously mentioned about multiple teammates joining Lewis on the visit or not.
  16. a nightly double double big that can clog the lane and contest/challenge/make it tought for opposing players to get up easy shots in the paint. He'll overpower a good amount of bigs in the post. A GREAT 3rd or 4th scoring option on the team behind Rice and either one of MM or Malik.
  17. excited to see the team in person Friday evening even if it is only an exhibition game.
  18. First half was ehh for both teams(some jitters) - felt like the 2nd half both teams finally started playing in sync and with real purpose: Rice is that dude. He will be playing at the next level (selfishly I hope he is in an IU uniform for more than one year). He can drive, push the ball, find the open man and finish at the rim. A three-level scorer and passer. Ballo will be a nightly double double machine and a force down low(I noticed a few times if Rices guy got into the lane with the ball, Rice left his guy to slide away and put a body on Ballos guy(Ballo slide into the lane to take on Rices guy to contest the ball/shot). Great IQ and awareness on Rices part. Keep shooting Goode.....Keep shooting Goode. he won't go 0-5 very ofter Kanaan was meh for me on offense, on defense he was pesky. He is our wild card for the season IMO. Malik looks better and looks improved. MM looks better and looks improved. it was only an exhibition game BUT we came away with no injuries, we got to see a glimpse of the team together(minus Gallo and Tucker) on the road in what felt like a true in season road game and beat a ranked opponent that will be playing likely past day one and day two of March Madness. I'd say yesterday was a success.
  19. Excited to see Kanaan, Rice, Ballo and Tucker for the first time.
  20. interesting as Julian was due to come to IU to visit potentially this weekend. if he doesn't visit IU this weekend and visits Colorado IMO he's all but certainly not flipping and picking IU
  21. doubt he picks IU. IU likely won't add another player until the portal at the earliest unless someone commits early from the 2026 class.
  22. so, if Nike offered IU say $10 mil more annually for 5 years, you are saying $50 mill more over 5 years doesn't move the needle to switch from Adidas to Nike?
  23. Nike has been and will remain the leader in footwear/apparel for sports and athletes for the forseeable future. Yes, Adidas and UA each has their fair share as due Puma, Rebook, etc. Nike(Jordan brand) shells out much more money than any of the other companies when it comes to both sports and advertising. Nike just reupped their contract with the NBA and WBNA for the next 12 years. Add in Nike gets the most dominant guys and women 9 out of 10 times after college is dominant to me. They too have their hand in getting NIL deals with the top college athletes as well.
  24. I'd go with option #2. Given the "potential" of this year's team, anything less than a top two finish in the regular season big ten AND a share of the regular season big ten championship would be a letdown in itself. I think no less than the final "four" in the big ten tourney AND a sweet 16 tourney appearance at a minimum would be right on par. So, give me the following for it to be considered a successful season imo(obviously everyone wants a national title I get that): - share of big ten regular season champ at a minimum(finishing one or two) - final four team standing in the BTT at a minimum - Sweet 16 appearance - Appearing in the final game for "Battle 4 Atlantis"(IMO top three teams in no order are Gonzaga, IU and Arizona). This one is a wild card for me. If we "check off" the first three bullet points, then this bullet point is irrelevant to me unless they win.
