  1. Which is why they may stay “in-house” and promote Davis, especially if they think it would give them at least a small chance of keeping the QB. But I doubt OkState would hire Morris unless they felt doing so would also give them a good shot at getting the QB.
  2. No surprise there; wonder if he’ll be able to bring his QB with him ($$$). Also wonder if Morris’ OC (Jordan Davis iirc) is the likely replacement at NTSU. Or if guys like Haines and Shanahan might get involved.
  3. That might change after the conference championship games. The committee may be waiting (for now) to see what teams are involved and how each one plays. If IU plays and loses to tOSU, I’d expect them to drop at least one spot, perhaps two if the SEC game is closer than the B1G game. I don’t think IU should drop below Bama if both make but lose their respective conference championship games, but I assume that’s likely to happen anyway, which would leave IU at #4 in the final seeding.
  4. Unless the rest of the country consolidates behind Simpson to keep the B1G 10 from getting it.
  5. WVU being this high might explain all the burned sofas and couches. Just a theory..
  6. Nah, according to the human megaphones in SEC country, no B1G 10 team has any good wins. Heck, even IU’s win over Oregon pales in comparison to A&M’s stirring victory over the wagon that is Notre Dame, at least according to those “experts.”
  7. Welp, if they’re willing to cough up $50 million to send Franklin packing (at least until Franklin finds another job) they may be willing to hire someone with a “colorful” past if they feel he can get them over the proverbial hump.
  8. So now it’s Urban for PSU? Okay…. I would’ve thought after Sandusky that they might want someone with a bit of a cleaner slate, but whatever
  9. Sounds like for now the concourses, restrooms and concession stands are the main things, with possible changes to the press box potentially next in line. Guess the luxury suites and seating expansion will have to wait, unless a (#^*-ton of outside money materializes from somewhere.
  10. well, since Chesney (allegedly) interviewed with Dolson/IU a year ago, I’d say he’s the real deal
  11. I think Fede could potentially be a nominal “center” vs B1G 10 competition but Miller is probably too thin/light for that role. His skill set more nearly resembles Bailey’s.
  12. now in portal: 6’ 8” power forward Haris Elezovic from West Virginia University. Originally from Montreal. Potential bench depth at IU?
  13. That’s what I saw the other day, but he’s back in the 247 portal listed as “available” so I wonder if Willard getting a verbal from a 2nd big man may have changed Brennan’s mind
  14. did Duke Brennan change his mind and re-enter the portal?
  15. If Bargen is slated to be a “front-office” guy like Sturtz, that would leave 2 more “bench coach” spots open for guys who can recruit off-campus, etc. if 1spot goes to Justin Bailey (Sam Houston assistant coach) then 1 unfilled spot would be left, perhaps for someone like Mike Ekanem of Oklahoma State.
  16. You might have to pry loose an Assistant coach in addition to Thiam himself if you want that to happen
  17. I guess I could get on board with a spot going to Dez Briscoe—I don’t think he’s ready to contribute now, but in a year or two he could turn into an interesting player
  18. There are still a few decent rim protector types in the portal who imo might be worth a look besides Thiam like Maker, Ojianwuna (sp), maybe Boakye, Traore, etc
  19. Azayvier (sp?)EDIT: spelled correctly in above post
  20. There are definitely 2 spots (and $$$) available for Curtis AND an older, more experienced center whether that’s Thiam or someone else
  21. 2 young assistants (Waterman and Hood iirc) one of whom came from Wichita State. No idea if they’d be worth pursuing but Thiam will be by a bunch of people
  22. Welp, the UCF staff under Dawkins does have some interesting assistant coaches. Just sayin
  23. It sounds like he’s as good or better of a prospect than the JUCO who signed with Auburn and I assume DDV was prepared to make a decent offer to him, so maybe he would for Thiam too. Gonna be some competition for Thiam, as well as the freshman from St John’s (Maker).
