  1. It's taken them about 1.5 minutes to embarrass our defense.... Again.
  2. Are you saying IU should hire him if someone steals Allen? Or maybe... Hire him as a coordinator...
  3. Whop has been awful this season. Shying from all contact, not running forward, loose with the ball, not making the easy catches.
  4. This is EMBARRASSING. Looks like a completely under prepared team. Tom Allen going 0-3 in bowl games. No good.
  5. Glad I had to run to Bloomington instead of watching this.
  6. Got my knee high IU socks on, shirt, sweatshirt. My 2 yr old son has his IU shirt on. 8 month old daughter is going to get her IU shirt on. Projector going to get turned on. We ready.
  7. Is the actual kickoff at 12:30 or is that just, "coverage begins?"
  8. 13.At this point Armaan Franklin is pretty easily the most improved player on the team and it isn't close. He could even be in talks for MVP of the team if he keeps it going and has a few more big games. He's also been Archie's best case by far of player development. But just looking at his progression from last year to this season. Freshman: 3.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 1.3 apg, 0.3 spg, 0.1 bpg, 0.9 to, 1.3 fouls, 34.8% FG, 45.8% 2FG, 26.6% 3FG, 61.5% FT, 13.8 mpg, 32 games, 9 starts Per 40: 10.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.7 apg, 0.7 spg, 0.3 bpg, 2.7 to, 3.9 fouls Sophomore: 13.8 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.5 spg, 0.4 bpg, 2.6 to, 2.2 fouls, 49.5% FG, 50.9% 2FG, 47.6% 3FG, 74.1% FT, 31.1 mpg, 10 games/starts
  9. It's one of the biggest issues the offense has. Another pet peeve is the jump stop. At this level, it shouldn't be such a primary thing our guys do. But there were multiple times last night where Al and Phin would jump stop 10ft from the basket and then decide on passing or shooting. At this level, those decisions should already be made. Jared Jeffries did actually talk about that with Guytons but about TJD doing it.
  10. Armaan is about the only one I trust. Some growing pains with his bigger role but ones worth dealing with right now. From scoring to defense to energy... He brings it on the most consistent basis.
  11. I say with finish at about 5-15 or 6-14. It's not going to be pretty.
  12. If those were the answers, I'd fire Archie. He really wouldnt have questions asked. I'd just show a compilation of all the fake pick and rolls and wide open 3s... That would take at least a couple hours.
  13. The offense really doesn't create that many open shots. Penn State just didn't play defense.
  14. Completely fine with the last two shots and the offensive foul. Gotta keep up the aggressiveness. Make the defense guard you.
  15. Hmmmm... Crazy what happens when you play with confidence, aggressiveness and want to actually go score and put pressure on the defense.
  16. I'd be ready to transfer if I were Lander. Phinisee still not playing well and Lander continues to sit.
  17. You'll never get any performance out there if you don't play them. Impossible to get a feel and find a groove without being on the court.
  18. I'd like to see Lander, Franklin, Galloway, Race and TJD starting. Rob and Durham need to understand they can't be playing how they have been or they'll be watching. Time for Archie to light some butts on fire and tonight is the night. Open up a can of whoop a$$ on the shower boys.
  19. That's one of the things that perplexes me. Archie wants to get out and run(so he says) but doesn't want his guys out playing the passing lanes. Those two don't mix whatsoever. Either you play like Virginia/Wisconsin and play it super slow or you play like Louisville under Pitino and play the passing lanes and try and get out and run from steals. You really can't mix the two. I'd really like to see our guys play the lanes more than they do because this offense really needs those east buckets and some exciting dunks to get the juices of the guys and fans going.
  20. But were they still playing good basketball that day? Offensively were they still doing their normal but it just wasn't going in that day? Because you can still play good basketball and it just not be your day for the ball to go in. No excuse to play such ugly ball like we do unless it's on purpose.
  21. They are high expectations. But that's okay. For me personally - Top 25 every year - Top 6 in the Big Ten - Make the NCAA Tourney(Upsets happen to everyone so that's just luck of the draw). - Get back into being something the media wants to cover and for good reasons. - Play good basketball.
