Agreed. We really need his versatility on the court. He's someone who can play both forward spots in college. This season he just doesn't seem to care. I'd say try starting him to see if they lights a fire under his butt, but I don't know. This is kind of a free season for everyone since you can return next season and it seems like Phinisee, Durham and Hunter are treating just like that. An unimportant free year.

Jared Jeffries brought up a good point on AJ Guytons podcast and it's something I've said before. STOP WITH THE FAKE PICK AND ROLLS. The whole purpose of the pick and roll is that it's supposed to be difficult to defend. A guard attacking or shooting and a big that can fade, roll or slip. Does the on ball defender go over or under? Do they switch? Does the big hard hedge? Soft hedge? Drop back? Switch? Can that big defend a guard one on one? If the big rolls who slides over to help defend? Does that leave someone in the corners open? That one screen is supposed to open up all of that. Ours happen to be the easiest thing in basketball to defend because it's not actually looking to do anything and it's absolutely infuriating.

Is this going to be our excuse for Archie after going 5-15 in conference? ESPN has us going 10-10. So I guess that's a positive right?

Those are growing pains that have to be dealt with. Thats why Archie should have been playing him against those cupcakes. Instead we continued to watch Rob and Al struggle. Defense is great, but if you're not a threat to score, you're not helping this team any. Defense can come along quicker with just hustle and athleticism. You need more IQ on the other end and more confidence.

We have to go 2-0 the next two games. 1-1 won't cut out. Being 1-3 going into the stretch afterwards. Only unranked teams we play after Maryland is Nebraska and Purdue twice.

He played at his talent level last season. He's regressed so badly though.

I'm the sure guys playing now are doing great in practice. But at some point you bench people because they suck in games.

We would actually understand at that point. Rather than playing a senior and junior who have proven over and over that they're not good enough.

The evidence is the fact we don't have much to lose at this point. Playing those guys, getting them minutes and getting them comfortable in games is our best bet. Because our two veteran guards are not good enough. So it's more of a why not?
