The legend of McCollum grows in Iowa City with each win, but if you look at the man's history no one should be surprised. He won four D2 championships at Northwest Missoiuri State and had a 31-win season in his only year with Drake. The guy just wins, especially when a tournament is involved.
One thing IU has always has been good at is being late to the game on coaching hires or making the wrong ones. Maybe dd works out who knows but Iowa so far makes google me I win look pretty solid.
Having a gm can help i guess but dont most programs have one now? At the the end of the day it will come down to money unless our gm can go moneyball stuff.
I have only watched a few games in full but it makes sense sort of us not having talent but losing to teams like northwestern i cant imagine they have better talent or do they? I guess either way dd will show us next year what kind of a roster he can put together. If he can barely make the tourney next year it will probably be billed a success but that should be the the floor if he all this time now to portal
I have not posted on here in a long time as i kind of turned into a football guy. Honestly did not see many games but saw the last four or five.. But its pretty clear something will need to change next year big time to make the tourney. I suppose nil can help maybe but I assume we had more nil than northwestern and still got blown out.
But that's because archie failed. If archie was just coming up now and that was his current resume I think alot of people would pick archie over BM Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
