Hustle and Fundamentals are lacking thus far

I watch this event every year. I watch Jimmy V’s speech every year. Every year feels like the first time. I gotta say, I was fired up and pissed off all day about the IUFB snubs. Then I watch that speech, hear these stories just befor tip off and man, the perspective that rolls in. It’s just a game but a game that can do so much for so many. Stop sweating the small stuff. You’re probably still correct. I don’t know what this “female committee” even is and I don’t know why university presidents would break from their ADs. The problem I have with this “if OSU plays and loses they still go” theory is they also dodge a second loss by having not played two other games aside from Michigan. “That wouldn’t happen”?? They lost to Purdue by a landside, what? Two years ago? It happens in this league all the time. But whatever, give us Iowa ranked in the top 15 and watch the committee try and screw us again after we beat them

Next year we can just play Rutgers, Maryland, Michigan St, Illinois, Nebraska and Purdue...cancel our other games, be undefeated and claim to be national champions. The more I think about this the more ridiculous it appears. Yea, we lost to Ohio St, by a one score, on the road, after they got an extra week to prepare and rest for this game. We didn’t have the luxury of playing at home after essentially a bye week and it obviously showed in the first half. Media types and conference ADs are just so desperate to make a case for OSU they don’t even bother to be objective anymore.

I think it’ll mostly work itself out. Iowa St will get stompped by Oklahoma, Florida will get stomped by Alabama. I’m not sure how we manage to get ahead of anyone in the top 4 plus A&M (unless UT pulls off the upset) and Georgia. Cincinnati being ahead having played basically no one is annoying but their undefeated. I don’t have any allusions of finding our way into the playoff. Sadly Michigan and PSU screwed us out of having a top tier SoS.

I know why it is the way it is, it’s just annoying. Especially when Purdue fans try to tout their elusive winning record in the series as if they have anything to be proud of there.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a thousand times...OSU is not losing a playoff spot by not playing Northwestern for a conference title. They play Iowa anyway

Fun Fact: In the 21 year history of the ACC/B10 Challenge, Purdue has been scheduled to play Duke once and UNC zero times. IU has had 9 matchups between the two. Syracuse/Maryland??? Purdue 0, IU 3. Purdue’s preferential treatment in scheduling this event is unbelievable.

I don’t understand why the BigTen assumes AD’s will jump at the chance to help OSU. A win vs Northwestern isnt necessary to keep them in the playoff. Honestly I don’t really care if IU gets to play for the title by default because I don’t want to win that way and have to hear about it being an asterisk from now on but all this BS bending over backwards for OSU so they can keep lording over the rest of the conference is absured

Because the BigTen man. It’s all BS, moving the goalposts to accommodate them. Half their team is categorically ruled out for this week plus depending on when they tested positive and I don’t see how it’s possible that others wouldn’t test positive in the past two weeks. Watch the BigTen go out and find some cupcake to play them and consider it a qualifying game.

Also, I have zero confidence that OSU isn’t sweeping postive test results under the rug for key players. How do they have an outbreak that massive yet affect so few of their key starters last week? Playing them again will most definitely lead to IU players getting hurt and/or contracting covid thus potentially screwing up our bowl game. We have very little to gain playing them again and everything to lose. IU doesn’t owe OSU anything and if they have to bow out so be it. They’ll still get their playoff bid. No one on that committee has the balls to vote them out for Florida or Texas A&M who will both probably lose one before the season ends

I doubt the Purdue game gets canceled. They’re just baking in excuses. The OSU rematch would be nice if Penix were healthy but I’m not confident Tuttle has the timing down enough to handle their smoke. There’s a huge difference between managing Wisconsin’s defense than OSU’s

As the son, brother, nephew and cousin of many Purdue grads, this game means something different. Outside a Rose Bowl/Playoff game, this is the game for me. Throw out the records because you know this is all Purdue has left to play for. I want to see everything clicking early and leave no doubt. No more double OT wins. I want to embarrass the boilers back to the obscurity of the Hazell days. I’ve had to listen about our “corney HS coach who will never amount to anything” and “the God” that is Brohm who was hired the “the Prophet” that is Bobenski for four years now. Time to claim the state of Indiana for now and into the future.

This is a very young team that will continue to get better as kids grow and the recruiting adds depth. This is just the beginning
