  1. My point with Keion is that he’s not buried by the typical roster of seven or eight 5 star studs. They really only play 6 guys (only five of which were 5 stars out of HS) with Brooks and Juzang playing sparsely. Cal makes his starters play 35+ minutes a game. I have to think he’d rather get his lead guys more rest than that if he had capable scorers/defenders off the bench.
  2. I agree which is why I was sure to caveat my statement but I would be very wary of him transferring to IU. From his dad’s “time to be selfish” mindset to his absolute lackluster performance this year, I’m not sure where he would even fit in here. We need shooters and post guys who want to be a part of building a program not some egomaniac who’s looking to “get his” so as to springboard to the NBA as soon as possible. Like you said, maybe he’s recalibrated and would come correct because ego aside, he needs a lot of work to become a consistent contributor at this level.
  3. Hard pass on Keion. He was extremely overrated coming out of HS and has no interest in staying four years, putting in the work to develop and its showing. UK has been down to 7 scholarship players at times due to injury and he still plays 10 minutes or less and his only role when he gets into the game is to set screens and rebound. Maybe the humble pie he’s choking on this year changes his mindset, otherwise I personally wouldn’t be interested.
  4. I used to post over there for years dating back to the site they had previous to the current HSN. IUwins is much like Sam Story in that they are continuously vouched for by the hsn mods and they make predictions on literally everything, are wrong almost always and then make excuses as to why. Rinse. Repeat. I wouldn’t spend too much time trying to read into anything they say.
  5. I have a feeling there’s a method to this. Setting the stage for other commitments. Still a pretty humble and selfless move. Honestly, I get it. Kids who drag this out just end up taking endless calls and texts from thirsty coaches every day. I’m sure the attention is fun at first but has to get exhausting and annoying after a couple months. Congrats to him and welcome home.
  6. The NIT had a rule stating teams must have at least a .500 record per the Wikipedia page. It started off as a preference and later was a solidified requirement. Then in 2017 they did away with it, I think? The article isn’t clear which tournament no longer has the .500 requirement. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Invitation_Tournament
  7. Agreed; Lunardi is a talentless hack. That being said he did just post an insanely intriguing matchup with IU as a 10 seed vs Butler at the 7. Winner plays Dayton in Indy (assuming they don’t lose). No way Butler should be three seeds higher than IU at this point but either way, I would take those matchups any day.
  8. It’ll depend on evidence. If she has bruising on her neck he’s toast and I can’t / wouldn’t argue against it. Best case scenario for Peyton is cooler heads prevail, the “neck slam” was by in large exaggerated due to her being scared and upset and they throw out the other stuff, chalk it up to a miss understanding followed by a heated argument. He gets destruction of property for the phone and everyone moves on. Either way, I’m incredibly disappointed in him as this kind of stuff cannot happen. This is why IU can’t have nice things
  9. Respectfully disagree. We have far too many games where we are slow out the gate in both halves and Joey’s poor play, while isn’t the only factor, does contribute to it. That said, I think Brunk is the better matchup against Purdue’s Williams so I expect to see the same starting lineup against the boilers.
  10. Green and Smith played well in spurts today. I want to give Al that same nod but he’s firmly in my dog house after the careless second half he had. Race continues to be the X factor. He’s starting to remind me of a slightly more athletic Xaiver Tillman. Would like to see him get more touches and see if that opens things up more for TJD on the opposite block. Way to gut it out boys. I’m off to find some baby aspirin
  11. How does Al not come out after these sequences? He’s literally throwing the ball away every other time down the floor
  12. So play defense with your goddamn hands up. It’s not difficult, they’re calling the hand checks and reach in swipes. So stop doing it. What’s the definition of insanity???
  13. How does Race not get a touch two possessions in a row after Stevens gets his 4th?
  14. Glad to see “stop playing defense with your hands” was an emphasis during halftime
  15. Agreed but winning teams react and adjust. Our batch of low IQ missfits just keeps walking into the booby trap. We had an opportunity to put them out of the game in the last two minutes and failed miserably.
  16. Poetic justice is what it is. Purdue fans are the most inexplicably arrogant fan base in the country, both in basketball and football
  17. Him and Jerry Palm must have a secret relationship. The only acceptable way Purdue gets in is to win out and get to the conference championship game. Anything else would be an absolute fraud. I get that IU had a somewhat weak non conference schedule but I’m getting tired of Purdue getting credit for losing to Marquette, Texas, Butler, and FSU. Either way, our guys need to realize Purdue is not a better team and go into Mackey to prove it.
  18. Lunardi said today that even with a loss against Michigan they are still on the bubble and have a shot at an at large bid. This is utterly insane to me. Their only non conference win against a tournament caliber team is Virginia (who’s still on Lunardi’s bubble). When is the last time a 14-14 (7-10) team with three games, plus B1G tourney was still in contention? To put this in perspective, Purdue is now on both the NCAA and NIT bubble as teams with a losing record are not eligible for the NIT.
  19. Just fighting fake internet tough guy comments with fake internet tough guy comments
  20. Lol. Obviously my comment was hyperbole but this is a pretty rare find no less.
  21. He wasn’t smiling at all and he made a “get outta my face” gesture with his hand when he said it. Anyone claiming they’ve seen Justin Smith smiling is a liar
  22. I noticed this as well and am happy to see he’s not a total scumbag but doesn’t change my opinion of him and his continuous bad attitude. He’s way to bad of a player to be this uncoachable and arrogant.
  23. I don’t even want to think about it. Feels like we never win here. Huge props to TJD and Race for doing the things it takes to win a game on the road.
