Does that win combined with the NW win, get us into the postseason? 40 wins seems like a lot of wins for a power five conference team to be left out. Especially with playing Florida, Arizona and Northwestern.

NCAA Women's Bball Transfer Portal

The more I wait to hear news, the more it is striking me that this is a very important portal for the IU women’s program. Bear with me: this is the last year when we will have a solid core of veteran returnees with proven success in CMM, Syd and Yarden. Although we all obviously love CTM and her success in building the program, we really haven’t parlayed our recent success into next level recruiting. I see Mich, Neb, OSU, Iowa all with McD’s AA’s coming in and outside of Iowa none have had the success we have in recent years. We still seem to hunt good program fits in the 50-100 range out of HS, and haven’t really had an impact frosh except for Yarden who was an international get. I think to climb the next tier from sweet sixteen team, to final four team were eventually gonna have to get more athletic impact young players out of HS. My concern is that if we don’t nail the portal this year, we finish a respectable 3-6 in the big ten and win a game or two in the tourney, and then lose Syd and Clhoe and start to slide back to mediocrity. I don’t want to see that happen. I trust CTM like most on here do, but talent is talent. We need to continue to upgrade it. We can’t rely on an underrated Holmes to walk in the door every four years and be generational talent. I hope we can compete in the portal and put together a team that can win another conference title and challenge the UConn’s, South Carolina’s, and LSU’s of the world so we can reload with some top 25 talent after next year. -
Transfer Portal w IU Interest

This. Folks complained early last year MM needed to be removed from the starting lineup and I said no way that’s happening. You do that, you don’t get anymore five stars. The same applies to Tucker. He will start. 100%. -
And they only go 7 deep. If Purdue gets fouls called at their usual rate, NC St. might run out of scholarship bodies for the court.

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

You should start a Matt Painter thread. You seem to be pretty involved in honoring him. We’re trying to fire a coach here. -

Painter hasn’t changed his offense in 12+ years, he just recruits a new 7 footer to put in it. -

Man, this was a tough presser to watch. First, credit to their play, but the interviews of the SC players was immature and dismissive of the game we gave them. Laughing and saying they didn’t feel any pressure like it wasn’t a tough hard fought game was borderline disrespectful. They won with more talent. Bottom line. They’re the Kentucky men’s program from 10 years ago. I truly hope we can put together a team to compete with them in the coming years and knock them down a peg, because our coaching and our play was actually superior to them, we just didn’t have 8 five stars to throw at this game. Second, all the respect on the world to coach Moren and her player interviewed. Gracious and humble in their responses, but demonstrated true love for the program and for the work they put in. Played a hell of a game. Just hard to compete with a SC right now just like it was for UCONN for a decade. Hope we get needed and complimentary players in the portal to really take advantage of Chloe, Syd, and Yarden’s last year together.
