Not advocating for him, but might be a little like K. Ware in that statistics weren’t great but the pedigree is there. Had offers from UNC, AZ, Texas, Houston. Remember he came into a program that returned five starters from a national champ game team.

D’Marco Dunn might be a name to keep an eye on. UNC shooting guard just into the portal. Heard he reached out to the staff.

Great season. Tough way to end it. 4 of 5 starters back next year. Keep your heads up ladies.

Feels like these refs are missing a lot maybe because of the crowd noise. Either getting caught up in the excitement or not hearing contact like they’re used to with normal 5k fan crowds.

Might actually be a step in the right direction. Very few teams have offenses that rely so heavily on post play these days. We are a “Tim Duncan” team playing in a “Steph Curry” era right now.

Stanford getting beat tonight should give us some breathing room to retain a 1-seed even if we stumble en route to the B1G tourney crown. That’s their 5th loss of the season.

Gotta be proud of the women’s play so far. Top 5 team on the road, getting the benefit of the doubt on the whistles (to be generous) - still staying calm and staying in the game down three. Bodes well for NCAA tourney time. I like our makeup for a March run a LOT more than Iowa’s. They’re one Clark cold shooting game or foul trouble game away from getting bounced every time out.

We’re 2-11 from three and down 1 on the road. Third quarter has been our quarter all season long. Interested to see if we come out firing. Garzon gotta get going. Need to get Mack more touches.

Clark is a phenomenal talent. But announcers act like she can do no wrong. She forces shots all over the place. Took 8 three’s in the first half alone. I’ll take our team basketball on offense all day.

In thinking about X getting back on the court, it’s important to understand his injury was a bone break. Different from a muscle or tendon injury in that it’s not about pain tolerance so much as it’s about waiting long enough to be comfortable it won’t break again. If you talk to X, he probably would have played by now. It looks and feels fine. But the extra precaution is being taken because you can’t really test the strength of a bone and the last thing you want to do is put him on the court a week too soon and have him break it again and ensure he’s done for the season. He’s supposed to get practice time this week and if there’s no setbacks he will be “back” for the big ten tourney. If he plays in the last conference games it will be because they feel comfortable it’s healed as much as it’s going to and X and the staff are ready to roll the dice it won’t break again. Play-wise, I expect X to be pretty much full-speed. If not it would be simply mental, being worried about re-injury. And he seems like the kind of kid who will get rid of those thoughts and just go for it.

We just own the third quarter. All season long.
