This loss hurts so much since we had it in the bag but only 6 turnovers, 7-10 from FT, and 9-19 from 3. That’s pretty encouraging basketball. If Maryland doesn’t go lights out from 3 first half, this is a runaway win. Unfortunately, we let this one slip away but hard to be mad at his team given our effort and the way we played outside of the final minute. Just find 4 more wins. I don’t care how or where, but that’s all we need to get in the tourney which is the goal this year. Maryland also was 0-14 from 3 second half and couldn’t throw it into the ocean...most of those were WIDE open 3s. Purdue played better second half but if a couple of those dropped, it was easily a 15+ point loss. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Did anybody see at about the 11 minute mark in the first half when there was a loose ball on the floor Ohio State picked it up and Archie went ballistic and slapped the scorers table and just ripped Franklin for not diving for the ball. Franklin was immediately yanked and didn’t play the rest of the game. That play ended in a shot clock violation for Ohio State but Archie was definitely living by his word...if you’re not gonna hustle, you’re not gonna play and it’s that simple. I posted on here about what happened in he offseason with De’Ron going back to Colorado and gaining a bunch of weight back from late night snacking via the munchies. Came back to Bloomington and coaches were livid after all the work they put into him. I got laughed at for that post back then but that came directly from someone very much inside the program. This is the big reason why he hasn’t been getting many minutes and the coaches are fed up with him and give him ample opportunity to prove himself. While he isn’t playing much, his attitude is definitely affecting this team as Chicken Sandwich alluded to. Love to hear this. Bring him off the bench and let him know he’s going to have to earn his minutes. If he’s playing carelessly or with little to no effort, Arch needs to pull him for the game. The good news is that students return Saturday and this was the last game without students. If you don’t think it makes a difference then you’ve never been to AH with/without students. The energy is much much different without students and these guys feed off it. We always play crappy at home end of December/beginning of January when students are on break, and it’s not a coincidence. Now let’s hope we get things fixed ASAP, Archie realIzes Rob needs to start, puts Devonte on a 2 inch leash, and the energy on Saturday is absolutely insane with The General returning and we come out with a W against Ohio State.
