  1. I thought not having Brunk out there might create more space for TJD -- but he looks uncomfortable so far.
  2. I'm 52, and am probably carrying 52 pounds too many -- and I can still make 80 percent!
  3. That's a shot Al HAS to make. Can't miss wide open 3s like that.
  4. It's funny -- some of the ESPN talking heads actually were talking as if we were disrespected. Whod've ever though that we'd be included -- anywhere -- in the CFP rankings, and folks might consider our ranking too low. Hell, after 30 years of crummy football, I'll take it. LEO
  5. Yes. In fact, he can only be in school on scholarship in January if he does take a 20-21 scholly. I suppose he can pay his own way for a semester, then go on a 21-22 scholarship, but I cannot imagine he'd have an interest in that. And this works a little to our advantage: we currently have scholarships available; other schools interested in him do not.
  6. LOL! ... According to that same story (I'll link to it below), a school has to have a scholly open now if he wants to enroll early and accept a scholarship. Georgetown and Georgia -- on his list -- are currently at their limit. Then again, we know Crean isn't shy about giving someone the boot to clear space! Doing so at mid-semester would be a really bad optic, however. https://www.si.com/college/indiana/recruiting/aminu-mohammed-early-enrollment-indiana-basketball-recruiting
  7. Found this from an old SI.com story on Mohammed. According to this, he could NOT play this season -- which I thought was the case. He'd just be enrolling early. Not sure why he (or anybody) would cut their senior season short if they couldn't play until next fall, but that's apparently something that interests him. I read that he's a pretty good student, so maybe he actually wants to get a jump-start on a degree, then leave early if he's deemed good enough for the NBA??? Only he knows for sure ... Could he play this season? No, Mohammed wouldn't be eligible to play for Indiana or any other school during the 2020-21 season. He is not reclassifying to the class of 2020 like Khristian Lander did. He is still a 2021 recruit, but he would just be enrolling early. This happens a lot with football players. Take last season, for example, a number of 2020 recruits enrolled early on Indiana's football team. Even though the football team had played a majority of its games already in 2019, they still had the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2, 2020. So, the players that enrolled early got to participate in some of the Gator Bowl practices, but they weren't actually eligible to play in the game. This would be the case for Mohammed. He would be able to practice with Indiana's team throughout most of the Big Ten season, but he wouldn't be able to play in any games. It would help him get acclimated to college faster and would only help him become more prepared for the 2021-22 season.
  8. From Gainesville, Fla., to Spokane, Wash. -- Man, that's one long-distance transfer!
  9. I wouldn't even count on it till tomorrow. ... From what I understand, TTU's players were gonna get tested today and if all was good, head to Bloomington. Then, they were gonna get tested again tomorrow at IU. I'm pretty sure our players get tested every day.
  10. We all pretty much knew it. Now it's official.
  11. Don't know -- that back-to-back against Sparty might prove tougher than we think! (Sorry -- that was a pr-ck thing to do, but I couldn't help myself! And if I didn't do it, you know someone else would have...)
  12. Khakis and Rutgers exchange missed FGs in the first OT. What a mess!
  13. Khakis and Rutgers appear headed to OT.
  14. Know we weren't after him anymore, but just an FYI -- he picked Notre Dame.
  15. I know at this point, it's crying over spilt milk -- but at 4 seconds in, pay attention to the left hash and what No.75 does to James Miller (No. 8 for us) at about the 39-yard line. Also, at 7 seconds in, No. 89 has a handful of Bryant Fitzgerald's jersey (No.31). He wasn't gonna catch him, but that's still against the rules! That's seven points OSU shouldn't have!
  16. Illinois ran this fake punt today against Nebraska. From the way the punter reacted, I don't think it was planned. I think he just took the snap, looked up and thought, "Hey, where'd everybody go?" There's so much running room, he can't make up his mind which way to go! I just can't figure out why after he decided to run to his left, he almost stopped about the 35-yard line.
  17. As crazy as it sounds, I think much of what happened today came out of what we DIDN'T do in our four wins. Three of those were pretty convincing -- and should've been more so. But at times, the execution was very poor and we made mistakes -- they weren't critical because we were up big, but still ... It's not like those mistakes were just gonna go away. If we had really worked on shoring that play up instead of just coasting late against Michigan, Rutgers and Michigan State, maybe today is different. You never know ... And for the love of God, let's try running the ball outside the tackles and rolling Penix out -- and maybe even having him run every now and then. The one time he rolled out, he threw a 63-yard TD pass. Offense needs to get more versatile.
  18. Shot ourselves in the foot? Hell, we damn near blew our left foot right off!
  19. Damn. Damn. Damn. Needed that stop there.
  20. I have a feeling we're gonna get a heavy dose of Mr. T this series.
  21. Get out of the pocket!
  22. Why on earth do you not take points there? Not that I'm complaining or anything.
